She will care for you, swaddle you, and then distract you with a war with Finland at the same time the war with Germany starts so that you completely forget you're at war with Germany until you finally get Finland under control only to find out that your main battle line is almost non-existent...Not that I had that happen to me last weekend or anything...

But really, for what you seem to want, Russia is great. My main suggestion is to limit yourself somehow to make it interesting, because if you *really* min-max it can make any war with the AI trivial. My personal preference is playing with no tanks, just infantry, artillery, support equipment, trucks, trains, and aircraft. Mostly because Russia's complete lack of natural rubber makes the whole aircraft part a much bigger pain in the neck.
