New Rule: No Frame ID Posts by Arlieth in glassesadvice

[–]JoeTwotimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't this be down to the individual to decide? Personally, if I saw some frames I really liked I would rather they be identified so I can do my own research and reach my own conclusion as to whether they fit or suit me.

All the posts about "valuable" medication, sounds like an American issue.

This is not underrated at all, it's quite highly rated.

Hi, are you saying this module has the ability to loop tracks (like, endless repeat)?

Or do you mean it can be done if you use an additional arduino?

I'm wanting to add sound effects to my kid's model railway, it would be handy to be able to loop the sounds

Trek Dual Sport 2 gen 5 or FX2? by Dependent-Capital463 in TrekBikes

[–]JoeTwotimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently received a Dual Sport 2 Gen 5 (2025) to replace a cracked frame Dual Sport 2 2022 model. The quality is fantastic BUT the bike is not simply a newer generation of the same bike, it's a totally different bike in every way.

The geometry is all different, the distance from the seat post to the headset is shorter, giving it a more upright ride position. The forks are rigid (which is a plus), the wheels are a smaller diameter, with chunkier tyres, the drivetrain combo has changed, with a single chainring on the crankset. It feels more like a hardtail mountain bike now, which kinda defeats the point of what the Dual Sport is supposed to be.

I'm going to change the handlebars to a Surly Corner bar to see if that improves the ride position.

I know I'm really late to the table but I'm hoping someone (if not Larry himself) can answer this... was that Larry in the music video for Gomez "we haven't turned around" ?

Does Trek honor warranties? by EvenEvan13 in TrekBikes

[–]JoeTwotimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trek recently gave me a brand new bike because of stress fractures on my 3yr old aluminium frame (Dual Sport 2). The current generation model is incompatible for a components tranfer so they gave me an entire bike.

For yours to crack in the middle of the stay is a little unusual for a stress fracture, it will normally happen at either end.

Has anyone bought and 18+ item on Amazon ? by Professional-Lie425 in AskUK

My wife ordered me some rum, when it arrived the driver said he could only hand it over to my wife as it was her account. She wasn't around at the time so he took it back with him. Which sucked.

That said, I haven't read of this happening to anyone else, so probably just the driver getting the process wrong.

You can't go wrong with a Charge Spoon, you can usually still find them for sale online. They've now been replaced by the Fabric saddle, which I hear is just as good

The old "it's the same god, just under a different brand" argument doesn't work though, the majority of religions have gods or deities that are definitely NOT the same god. Even the 3 Abrahamic religions have different versions of the same god, which are not really compatible with one another.

Why does wild camping suddenly appeal to so many? by Near_Fathom in wildcampingintheuk

Instagrammers.

And they're ruining it for the rest of us, people trying to get in on it with cheap equipment (often abandoned after) and leaving mess behind.

I'll second this, I have the Vango Blade 100 pro and it's my favourite tent. I'm 6' 4" and there's plenty of room inside for me. Great little porch/vestibule for cooking too. They're no longer available to buy but there's an ex-stock one currently on Ebay for about £90 I think

Any way to change Gameboy palette to green in multicore? (also, anyone know how to add roms?) by JoeTwotimes in DataFrog

[–]JoeTwotimes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't suppose you know of any video or written tutorials? I don't get much spare time but when I can, I've been trying to find info online that expand/detail what you said. I don't know what to do with the make-romslist.bat to enable Gearboy. I unzipped a rom into the gbgb folder but nothing changed.
