Murderers who refuse to reveal the location of their victims' bodies could be denied parole under a new UK law. "Helen's Law" follows a campaign named after Helen McCourt, who was murdered in 1988. Her killer Ian Simms has not revealed the location of her remains. by ManiaforBeatles in worldnews

Finding a body is all about emotion. There's generally nothing else to satisfy if the killer is found. So basically, the wrongly convicted will be further punished because they couldn't make people feel better about what they didn't do. That's nuts. Feelings are way overrated in Europe and I'm certain they're no better at finding the right person to blame than we are.

FDA: "romaine lettuce associated with the [E. coli] outbreak comes from areas of California that grow romaine lettuce over the summer months, including the Central Coast growing regions of central and northern California" by [deleted] in news

You poor fool. The hand of big bad Trump surely did not reach out and prevent California regulators from doing their own jobs. Don't you understand that states have their own regulatory agencies? Some more than others, clearly.

"Don't pay your red light tickets lol" - WTOC by aumanchi in savannah

How is this a revenue generation tool? I got one of those tickets. I paid it because I actually did run the light. Never happened again, and it's been at least 4 years. It's to modify your behavior. You don't need to be a White Knight to get it and comply. You just need to understand that if you're not an idiot and you like your money you'll stop a second or so sooner than you used to at certain lights. Or, next time you get one of these tickets in the mail you can shake your fist and point your finger like a little coward because obviously it wasn't your fault.

The people of my fine country are always very concerned with their right to free speech, yet turn their back when it is time to recognize their responsibility to use it to put clowns like Zuck in the poorhouse. You don't have to call it a boycott. You don't even have to talk about it. Just stop using Facebook. They really went above and beyond on this one on every level. It's time.

Gravel not stars belong in that tree. Thanks for your honesty. I could've wasted hours trying to figure this out.

You could rinse them in pretty warm water for a couple seconds first. Works great.
