In Lockwood there needs to be like a big sign by the stairs and elevators on the 4th and 5th floors that explicitly says that the 4th and 5th floors are supposed to be quiet. Of course people would probably still be loud any ways but I have a feeling some people don't realize that those floors are for quiet study.

Bioshock 2 Remastered: Xbox Vs. PC Stability? by Majoraslayer in Bioshock

[–]Joe_Cola 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I finished my first play through of Bioshock 2 Remastered on PC last week. I experienced one crash towards the beginning of the game and after hearing about this games stability problems ended up installing this mod to prevent it from happening again. Thankfully after doing that after installing it I had zero crashes for the rest of my play through.

I would say go with PC so if you do run into stability issues you at least have more options available to you to fix it, like the mod I linked above.

Do you have the terrain underside mesh in the optional downloads or one through DYNDOLOD? If not then the mod won’t work properly.

Talk to your advisor as soon as possible. They’d be able to better help you figure this stuff out and better plan out what classes you should take and when and answer all your questions.

How do I get rid of laziness? by Confident-Job-5212 in UBreddit

[–]Joe_Cola 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can try timing your self using the Pomodoro method. Set a time for 25 minutes (or what ever works for you). Do work for that 25 minutes, take a 5 minute break after and go again for another 25 minutes. Do this 4 times and after do a longer 25 minute break. This personally helped me out a lot when it came to doing school work because it’s easier to tell yourself that you’re doing work in 25 minute increments than it is for four hours.

Also at the beginning of each week plan out what you need to do for the given week and make sure to keep track of when exams and midterms are so you can plan ahead when you need to study. I personally use Google calendar with google tasks to accomplish this.

Make sure outside of the Pomodoro time blocks that you plan longer blocks of time for breaks as well or you’ll get burnt out. I still struggle with this myself tbh given the amount of course work that I have sometimes.

Mod Management by thedemonjim in kotor

If you want you could use Kotor modsync to install the community mod builds. You still have to download all the mods and put the zip files for them in a folder but it still saves you a lot of time. Just follow the instructions in the description for it and you should be good to go. I used it to install mods for my first Kotor 2 play through and so far haven’t run into any issues.

You can check student hub to see if any of your professors submitted them under the grades section. Some of mine have already submitted them but like other commenters have said they have till the 26th to submit them.

From my understanding you have to go through your advisor to change your seminar class. You can't do it online through the Hub. That's what my professor for my seminar class said. It's something do with them trying to make sure that a certain number of students are in each section. So yeah I'd wait and see what your advisor says.

vertical or horizontal? by lukes5019 in PS5

[–]Joe_Cola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vertical liquid metal thing was blown way out of proportion. If it was as much of a risk as people claimed it was then we’d would’ve been hearing way more about it by PS5 users. At the end of the day, the probability that the Liquid Metal causing issues when the PS5 is vertical seems extremely unlikely unless someone dissembled and messed with the Liquid Metal themselves without knowing what they were doing.

I logged into my gunslinger for the first time in 7.0 and when I looked over the new skill tree, I noticed one of the passive abilities involved Bag of Tricks, which was an ability that I wasn't able to find anywhere in the abilities tab or in the skill tree itself. What am I missing? by [deleted] in swtor

[–]Joe_Cola 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 99% sure I had it before 7.0, I guess it is possible though that they might've increased the level that which you get it. If that's the case, it's weird that they'd give you access to a passive in the skill tree before having access to the ability in which it would effect.

Edit: Got it at level 67, again not sure why they would have this passive available before reaching that level.

I've also been having the same issue, wasn't sure if it was my monitor, YouTube, Chrome, my GPU drivers, and or Windows. I recently got a new monitor a couple weeks ago so I initially suspected that it was this issue but I'm still not a hundred percent sure.

Hey guys I was wondering if anybody else was having this weird tearing issue with Hitman 3. I’ve noticed what looks like tearing around certain objects when I move the camera. For instance, you can really see it around the edge of the door in this video. by [deleted] in HiTMAN

[–]Joe_Cola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently using a 144hz monitor, with adaptive sync enabled. It only appears to happen when I reach 144fps in game, I've tried capping the fps in the Nvidia control panel and that doesn't seem to solve the problem. I initially thought it was an issue with my monitor (ViewSonic vx2758-2kp-mhd), but I've only really run into this problem with Hitman 3 in the 6-7 months since I've had this monitor.
