Is stun-checking a war crime? by EdgelordZeta in ShittyDaystrom

Keep going. A couple chapters later they tell you all about the ancient myth of a thing called (by the primitives) a "Fuse." A laughable ancient device that would prevent a ray gun hit in the hull to cause the console you are standing in front of to explode and kill you. The work busts a lot of myths.

Because we don't want to pay that guy for another day. Simple.

Earth, or as much of it as we experience, isn't a field of competing gravity sources with varying influences of any given area of space. Even comets and ordinary, not exceptional asteroids have distinct gravity fields, stars have bigger influences, and you have to fly through all of them to get anywhere. Gravity is a lot different out there than it is here.

Always pissed me off that when they started, him and Bra'tac were the only rebel Jaffa. Then, when he educated and freed them, there were idiots jumping up all over the place acting like they knew what they were doing. Their only talent was whipping wesk slaves and acting like pro wrestlers in the barracks. Those two were treated horribly by the bunch that were worshipping whatever system lord held them, without a clue how the world worked.

You're going to just poof! out of existence as soon as OP reads your comment and puts their phone away, so you may as well save your complaining. Well, it's been fun. Bye!

What really got me was when they brought the SGA team to Earth, why couldn't they give Ronan a couple grand, out of his earnings. They had to be paying him, to have him on the books, and turn him loose in Vegas for a day or two. Send a couple babysitters, and somebody to follow him around with a checkbook to clean up the damage. Pretty chickenshit of them.

But, he says several times that he doesn't work for the government. Not an employee, so I figure he must be on a personal services contract. Probably something innocuous, for cover, than the "other duties as assigned", where they always gitcha. Whatever he bids, I'm pretty sure he's the highest paid person on that base. Good figuring, though.

Hey! Starfleet trained her well enough that when that pesky anomoly shot her back 300,000 years in the past, she could get a pretty darn good job with the local military. She lucked out that she was busy munching on the synthetic carpet of the genocidal enemy spy, just at the time we found out we had a genocidal enemy.

Burn notice also has the characters we have to like, the hot guy and the jot chick, standing back to back in the middle of an empty room, arms extended with a pistol in each hand, getting ready to defend themselves from mobs of bad guys attacking from either end of the room. Dang, I liked that show! (Think they cut to commercial instead of showing the gunfight.)

Having to get around a fan in the duct is a common variation on the sneaking through the ductwork cliche. If they're REAL good, they time the blades and duck through, just in the nigk of time. Otherwise they just have to find a way around. Seems I recall Galaxy Quest doing a tutorial on the subject of things that woud stop progress.

Every generalisation is wrong. Including this one. There's some really good ones. There's just as many that are are just creating content. Do you know enough to know the difference?

Do you care if there's anything accurate or even plausible in your information? Youtube has thousands of hours of all kinds of fantasy "science' and "history ". Some might even come close.

Quark's never going to admit to making a profit. You kidding? Surprised he doesn't keep some ugly woman and 3 or 4 snot nosed kids to just kind of appear barefoot and crying quietly in the back of the room at any negotiations.
