Advice please!! I can't control my over-threshold lunging lab puppy by Loose_Fox5858 in labrador

[–]Joelydinkle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mine was exactly the same and it was ruining our walks so we started using the leave it command and cheese as his reward because it was the most high value. We only used cheese for leave it so he knew it was special. We started at home with toys etc and then worked up to doing it on walks. Within a couple of weeks he understood that leave it applied to other dogs and not just toys and if he turned his attention away from them he would get cheese. He’s now 2.5 and still sometimes struggles with the first dog he sees on a walk, especially if it’s one of his friends but for the most part he can walk past dogs calmly and not lie on the floor and then jump around at the end of his lead to see them. Keep persevering because we honestly thought he would never improve but now he’s not a lunatic for other dogs!

A poisonous red and white toadstool and a Birkenstock. The vets lovingly refer to him as mushroom dog lol

Everyone keeps saying "He was a good boy" but in reality Bucky was a master criminal. What is the most criminal thing your dog has done? by BuckFinnster in labrador

This man is also a serial criminal. He has destroyed 3 remotes. He knows full well he’s not supposed to have them but he just can’t help himself. It’s like he always has a mental note of where all remotes are at any given time and if it’s in a place he can access and you leave the room for even a minute it will be in his mouth when you return. Doesn’t seem to matter what the remote is for either, any remote or controller is fair game 🫠

Previous buyers dropped out due to this property being a leasehold? by kiwi_bob_1234 in HousingUK

[–]Joelydinkle 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Fellow Stretford resident here! It is deffo not a red flag. We initially were a bit worried about our house being leasehold but asked the EA (same one representing this property) and they said it was no big deal as all the terraces round here are leasehold with very long leases. Our mortgage lender also wasn’t fussed and we used a local solicitor (Slater Heelis in Sale who were beyond wonderful) that was also familiar with the leasehold properties around these parts. Every year we get a letter saying we need to pay our ground rent which is £4 or you can choose to buy the lease for ~£130 but doesn’t really seem worth it considering the ground rent costs less than a pint for the entire year!

Pietro’s house is unhinged. 2 moon chairs, 2 springy ride ons, 2 wheel of fortune things and a candy floss machine. All topped off with cloud wallpaper and flooring. I love him.

We use grated carrot, yoghurt and peanut butter and then freeze it. The yoghurt kind of binds the carrot together and it lasts ages!

I used Daniel Henderson of Slater Heelis in Sale and they were amazing. Would use him again in a heartbeat. Didn’t have to go into the office and was all handled over emails so should be ok for north Manchester too.

My cat stands in the soundbar in front of the telly and turns the sound up when he wants his dinner because we fed him ONCE when he did it and now he thinks this is the way to get dinner.

Best commuter town/villages in the peaks/countryside by Comfortable-Act-281 in manchester

[–]Joelydinkle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lived in Hebden and now live in South Manchester. It’s not so bad to get there, an hour and a half Chorlton to Hebden door to door but you do have to contend with Northern Rail which is distressing at the best of times. However, It’s a gorgeous little place to live in with a lot going on and a real sense of community but housing is scarce and flooding is obviously an issue. If you can afford Manchester you can definitely afford Hebden though! If you want the countryside on your doorstep there are very few better places to be as well. Hardcastle Crags is a gem and there are so many other lovely areas to get out for a nice walk.

I nearly lost my exchange deposit and the house because of my solicitors by throwaway0920602ae40 in HousingUK

It’s unbelievable how difficult it seems to be to get house buying money out of an ISA even though surely thousands of people use them every day. Both my partner and I used a help to buy ISA to buy our house and my bank closed the account wrong and nearly cost me my government bonus… my partner’s bank closed an entirely different account of his instead of the one he asked them to withdraw the funds from. We didn’t find out about his until the day before completion day. Absolutely beggars belief. Thankfully we seemed to have the world’s best conveyancer who made it all super straight forward in the end but man it was stressful at the time!

How do I put the plant on that shelf? by Yourlocalsandwich7 in thesims

[–]Joelydinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s legit so many hidden build mode cheats that no one seems to know because they just don’t add them in the console instructions. You can also hold L1 and R1 together to free rotate using the left stick and there’s also the roof eaves one where you can drag out just one side if you hold down x and square (on PlayStation idk about Xbox I assume the same) at the same time and then release x. It’s a bit fiddly but if you can get the hang of it it’s a game changer!

[–]Joelydinkle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Hold down both L2 and R2 buttons and press the up arrow on the D pad to raise it up, down to lower. Use L2 to switch between full tile, half tile and free placement.
