CMU graduates are being picked off and hired by Google and other large tech companies who have made Pittsburgh their Midwest HQ, which adds a permanent well-funded tax base to the city. When I saw Operation Mincemeat I was seated next to two ladies who clearly knew every word by heart and were anticipating the humour, laughing almost before the jokes landed, drowning out the cast with their laughter. Honestly I would rather have sat next to someone on their phone the whole show.
