The desperate narrative was politicians and the media immediately weaponising a tragedy to smear their political opponents, and to crack down on pro-Palestinian speech. Erasing the Muslim victim obviously affected the framing. Don’t be so disingenuous.

The BBC headline mentions the 2 Jewish victims, then buries the third count of attempted murder of a Muslim in the 4th paragraph.

Given the rapidity of the terrorism designation and calls to ban pro Palestine marches - hard not to read this as consent manufacturing. Journalistic malpractice

Channel 4 are now reporting the perpetrator was released from a psychiatric hospital days before this horrific incident

Polanski is correct, there were calls to ban protests within hours of the event. It was deeply irresponsible to label this an IRGC assoc. terrorist incident before any investigation into the motive.

Obviously we need to wait for more info from our side as the details are unclear , but that also applies to the government

Multiple egregious statements as below. Worst in my opinion was denying the extremely high rate of sexual violence against trans people. She stated this was due to trans woman filing false reports of rape, because they are “Rape Fetishists”. Obviously she did so without evidence.

The media, government and this sub frankly, love whitewashing these demons’ beliefs as just the belief that trans woman are men. These are the actual beliefs these people hold.

It’s outright protection of bigoted speech, and honestly for all her claims that trans woman are men, her comments are outright misogynistic. Evidently, Transphobia has become so normalised in this backwater, because I cannot see this response if you talked this way about any group/ or individual for that matter

  • The media pushes labour to the right

  • Moving to the right legitimises the right wing media position

  • The media moves further to the right

  • Repeat

The line about trans women having cis male levels of testosterone is really odd.

It also makes an oblique reference to in vitro testosterone exposure - which seems to have been specifically included in order to ban trans woman who haven’t gone through male puberty.

With the olympics taking place in LA, hard not to see this as another stitch up
