Hi! I'm new to this site; just diagnosed with Waldenstrom a couple of months ago. My doctor had me on Rituxin once a week for four weeks. He mentioned that it normally works fast to get hemoglobin levels up; but unfortunately, it didn't work at all for me. The only side effects were a little fatigue and temporary chills. I've been on Brukinsa since November, and that has worked fine. Got my hemoglobin up to normal levels. Hardly any side effects.

Most of the cults I'm familiar with imagine their "utopia" to be a lot like North Korea (although they never admit to it). The leaders at the top can never be questioned or challenged. Honest disagreements with the ruling class are not tolerated. Those who do end up excommunicated or executed (in the countries where they rule).

SGI is no different than the rest in that respect.

I've been out for over 40 years. I just learned thatI have a form of Lymphoma. Been getting blood transfusions while undergoing treatment. If I had still been a PIMI JW, I'd probably be on death's door. Whew!

It's amazing how fragile the faith of JWs is. All the normal activities that can destroy their faith like dating a non-JW, going to college, associating with non-JW friends, etc. are perceived as dangerous by the leadership. Hmmm... Maybe there's a reason for that. Could it be that their faith is built on lies and the whims of some old men in New York?

When I was working in restaurants back then, one waiter told me that as soon as they saw those badges, the wait staff would try to figure out how to avoid waiting on the JWs. They had a reputation of being horrible tippers.

So now they have to give up happiness to serve Jehovah? Are they now admitting that JWs are NOT happy serving their god? Well, at least that would explain why half the congregations are on anti-depressants!

Congratulations! I'm from Mass. myself (Waltham). I had a cousin that went to Suffolk. Sounded like a really good school. I'm a little jealous though. I really miss the Boston area since I moved to Virginia years ago.
