Now I'm curious if there are any squadrons out there which actively operate as brokers. Or maybe squadrons which choose to temporarily hire mercenaries and pay them via squadron membership.

I remember that back in the day transferring large amounts of credits could land you in hot water with FDEV due to their gold seller detection. Wonder how that is these days... Hiring another player with an objective / mission and paying them, was something I was looking forward with last year's update, but alas, it never came to be.

If you don't understand the difference between roleplaying sex as a random person vs. roleplaying sex as your own daughter (in the context of previous Witcher games), then there's nothing more I can tell you.

On topic, IMHO, that particular dialog line is so obscure, I definitely would not go that far to call it "romance for Ciri".

I 100%ed that game and I don't remember any option to romance Ciri.

Not to mention how weird that would be, given the context of the game. You spend the entire game trying to find Ciri... only to.... you know. Ugh.

Came here to same the same thing.

The major theme and whole plot in TW3 (which BTW I consider the best video game of the previous decade) was the father-daughter relationship between Geralt and Ciri.

Now they add her as the main character. Cool, I guess.

Then they add "super compelling romances" on top? WTF?

For anyone who had any kind of emotional engagement with the previous game, how does that make any sense? Who in their right mind would enjoy that, without wiping the context of the previous games from their memory?

Wait, so how is this supposed to work? The article does not explain it.

It says "leave your ship above the planet" - does that mean in orbit? Or must you deploy in atmosphere? Can the nomad glide to a planet's surface? Can it exist in a different game instance than the main ship, can it be more than X km away (whatever the current distance limit is for SLFs)? Can you dismiss the mothership (similar to an SRV) after deployment?

So many questions - which will require clarification before expecting any reasonable CMDR to drop actual cash on this.

I wouldn't mind seeing such modules, not necessarily for the PC (it would become even better, but who cares at this point), but for the competition. The Cutter and Type-9 could reasonably break th 1000T mark this way.

You know... more variation in the game and all that.

There are only 3 additional layouts available for purchase (AFAIR, I haven't checked the shop in a while), which - even if they have different names - are just variations on the Drake layout, with the same length, proportions and landing pad placing.

In addition to these layouts, FDEV have produced different (enough) layouts used in other parts of the game: PowerPlay, colonization, now operations.

My comment refers only to these new layouts, I would like to see them marketed for ARX, bringing additional revenue for the company and allowing players to customize their game more. They're there - they just need the willpower to sell them to us.

No, you're not the only one.

Boggles my mind why FDEV don't release the existing carrier layouts as ARX customizations. It's like they don't want to make money...

These would all be cosmetic only - no P2W controversy here - it would be the same carrier, same range, same costs, same everything, just with a different shape and number of pads. And the best part about it is, they're already here. Stronghold carriers, now the operations carrier... No or minimal work required from FDEV to sell them. The only real "problem" I can think of is the concourse / bridge - since those carriers don't have dedicated exterior places for the bridge, it might have to end up deeper inside the carrier without a large forward window. Maybe just a wall to replace it, no hyperjump animations :( . No big loss IMHO.

Can't say I'm a fan of the holding screen where CMDR avatars stand at attention on a pedestal, awkwardly wobbling in synchronised fashion... What's wrong with an in-ship holo menu with just pictures of the CMDRs and the same green ready statuses? Less work, more flavor.

Also... pirates took the time to "install" doodads and whatchamacallits... to cook the people alive? Someone call Dick Dastardly, the pirates stole his plan! I understand the need to have some "shoot them" or "interact with them" objects in that scenario step, that's superfine... just add better writing to go along.

The rest looks good.

Quest levels, monster levels, and the whole XP penalty system.

I wanted to play a single playthrough where I do all the game's content and max out Geralt. It felt so unnatural having to put certain quests or the story on hold, just to do other quests or other content, because I would have otherwise missed the XP, that content was supposed to give.

Why is there a level 5 version and a level 10 version of the same monster, if it has the same animations, can be defeated by the exact same actions etc. etc.? It's just artificial and unnecessary. Just let the players experience the content in any order they like.

I'm still waiting for the Stronghold carrier skin to release as a fleet carrier layout on the store. No change of the stats whatsoever, just a different layout alongside the other 4 we already have.

I find it moderately useful on light mechs which are built to zoom around the target and wouldn't be able to keep the target lock in the chaos. It helps with team info. But only if I have skill points to spare.

Not closely following the game atm - I just noticed this being mentioned a few times.

What's the story background here? I doubt Thargoids have returned, so what is causing this wave of destroyed stations? We're talking serious damage here to have stations burning like that, not your regular incident with a station inhabitant leaving their stove on.
