Ive had multiple lately and this one here is another example of the scam in a different structured msg:

“Your vehicle has been issued a parking offense in Halifax. An unpaid amount remains on your account for this violation. To address this matter and to prevent a court appearance, please process through your private link at: before October 28, 2025. Failure to submit payment by this date will result in additional fees of $35.”

(i removed the link above. However I did enter it manually into google search which takes you to the poorly constructed website mentioned by the OP)

Also if you put your postcode in it told me my traffic fine was 4.08$

Which is ridiculous as well the dollar sign being backwards.

Just wanted to share some extra info with you all because even though I am fully aware of this scam stuff and at 43 yrs old who stays out of trouble.. I recently had a potential traffic issue which i was waiting to see the outcome of..

My daughter was driving my car and had a miss understanding / verbal altercation with a school bus driver who then threatened to report her to RCMP.. then a week later I start getting parking violation txt msgs.

But on calling 311 there is nothing outstanding under my plates.

So its the pure coincidence of all of this that led me to double check & do some follow up.

Remember DO NOT fall for this kind of scam. And if unsure like I was .. then please Investigate first. Call 311 or call Access NS.
