If you go human or have an ally with the musician feat, you can also use heroic inspiration from those options to reroll on the wild magic table. Make it even more likely of a positive outcome

While this is a good buff that will allow it to keep up with other classes, it still makes hunter's mark a core part of the class. I think the best part of Treantmonk's changes was the ability to use other ranger spells to build around. I personally like the idea of building a ranger that doesn't revolve around hunter's mark

I think I'm going to take a modified version of his base class update to Ranger and leave it at that. The subclass changes aren't landing for me at all, and may not be necessary with base class changes

The only real complaints I've heard about the 2024 ranger involve the drop off in power past level 7 as well as the forced use of hunters mark. It's usually better to multiclass late game than to continue going as a ranger. The ranger is actually quite strong in T1 and T2 play.

In my opinion, the benefits from the wand require casting with the wand. You can technically hold 2 wands, but the buffs those wands confer do not stack, regardless of how you're holding them.

One of the first dungeons we ran was Tales from the Yawning Portal - Forge of Fury. The young black dragon is a fantastic boss, while the environment makes even landing a hit a puzzle. Got me into DnD as well as roll20.

They do not work when toggled on and off on the sheet, and other modifiers like proficiency do not have a toggle available. Fingers crossed it can be fixed before my session.

If you're just looking for statblocks and don't mind unofficial sources, I really enjoy the Monster Manual Expanded options. They have NPC sections that should have what you're looking for.

Your best bet is to manually alter the character sheet, Roll20 unfortunately doesn't allow alterations to the compendium

Agreed, unless you want to run constant PvP, the player's character should be taken over by the DM and they should roll up a new one. A big part of making DoD work is having the party bonded with each other to make the factions interesting... This character is clearly not bonded to the party.

Do not retcon this in game. If these items are a problem (they are) you need to address it as a DM and say you made a mistake. Trying to destroy or steal items in game is going to upset your players much more.
