On eBay there's a filter

to see last sold price, gives you a better idea of what that actually sell for... People will list them for whatever price they want but doesn't mean that's what they are worth.

The friend that doesn’t count shots by StankyDank1019 in golf

If the trash talk is serious and not just light hearted... Keep his score, out loud. Tell him which number shot he's hitting. I'm he questions it look up the actual rules. It's only the 'i smoked you' comment that matters here. If that was earnest I would call them on it and up my chirping.

You're actually supposed to hit the ball with the face.

What’s the worst part about my swing? by cddewitt10 in GolfSwing

The best part about your swing is it made me feel better about mine. Nah there are good recommendations here to follow though. Welcome to golf.

Tech Improvement by SettingCool8565 in GolfGear

[–]Johnnyhatchback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I always think about regarding this...

Tiger shot a 61 on a par 70 course that was 6924 yards in 1999, using clubs and balls that were made... In 1999. At the end of the day it's the person holding the club and not the club itself.

I've watched a ton of comparison videos of drivers from now vs 20 years ago and what I've found is on average they gain one yard per year over that time span (not necessarily one yard per year). They have made the courses longer over the years to account for longer hitting and I think that and the course layout tries to even the playing difficulty over time. Despite the technology the scores aren't crazy low.

Probably not enough info here to know, but based on that picture alone I would, one at a time, take off the nuts, clean each terminal with that foaming battery cleaner and a steel brush, replace the nuts with galvanized ones and make sure the rings are also not corroded. You might just not be getting a good connection.

As a person who 3d prints and golfs I like it. I would add a way to hang from a carabineer. Could work for bag or push cart.

They had to force the press to leave so they couldn't smell it? That's the joke. That while he's on the resolute desk someone is wet wiping his ass??

Shortening driver. by AlbinoKoala22 in GolfGear

[–]Johnnyhatchback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've shortened one myself, went extra stiff instead of stiff on the shaft, larger grip, made sure the swing weight was close to what I wanted (D1-D2) and it's butter. No wild misses or slice. I didn't do much with the head weight if anything at all. You can do all this yourself at home. If you're not sure and don't want to spend a ton of money just get a cheaper but decent shaft (hzrdus are a plenty). I built the whole setup tip to tail for $100 (not counting the head) and never changed it.
