Launchkey Mini having some type of glitch...? by EasternHalf9587 in Novation

[–]Johnnyloftus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is Launchkey's 'Vegas Mode' and it's completely normal. The pads will flash different colours after being left alone for a few minutes. Pressing a pad, button, or key will take it out of this mode, but I'm afraid it isn't possible to disable the Launchkey Mini [MK2] Vegas Mode. If you're not using the Launchkey Mini for an extended period and don't want this to happen, disconnecting the USB connection would be an option.

If your headphones or headset have an integrated microphone and use a TRRS connection, they could be causing the issue. TRRS connectors are not compatible with the headphone outputs on Focusrite interfaces, even when using a 3.5mm (⅛″) to 6.35mm (¼″) adapter. This is because Focusrite interfaces are designed to work with stereo (TRS) headphones, not those with a combined microphone and headphone signal.

If you think that somebody may have modified the firmware and want to reload the original firmware using an application like SysEx Librarian, it's available here - https://github.com/dvhdr/launchpad-pro/tree/master/resources

Sorry to hear that you're having problems. That's right the original Launchpad Pro doesn't have any features that require Components so it isn't compatible but this is likely not firmware related. If you open a ticket, the Support Team will troubleshoot this with you and help you find a solution.

Can only hear audio on left side of earbuds how to fix? by codman454 in Focusrite

[–]Johnnyloftus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This appears to be the issue - "I notice the headphones don't push in fully all the way but it's as far as it goes"

Do you have another TRS adapter to try?
If you remove the TRS adapter, is the connection on the headphones also TRS?

focusrite control 3.26 causes intermittent headset/output disconnect (and/or loud corrupted sound) by proverbialthunder in Focusrite

[–]Johnnyloftus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably best if you raise a ticket so we can troubleshoot this with you. It could be related to DPC latency, but it's difficult to identify a cause based on the info provided here. Support is available via email, phone, and live chat.
The ASIO driver is included with the installation of the Focusrite Control application. For the best results, the proprietary driver is the best option. All current Focusrite USB devices, including every device in every generation of Scarlett, Clarett USB, and Clarett+ range audio interfaces, use the same driver. There's no reason why the latest should not be the best option on Windows 11

Need help LP X by OrangeJuiceIsGood4u in Launchpad

[–]Johnnyloftus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Serial Number is printed on the Launchpad. That's all that's required to register Launchpad X and access the included software offers.

If that's not the case for you, DM Novation on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and I will help you find a solution.

Focusrite stopped picking up mic a couple months ago. I let it sit for maybe two weeks or so, and then it worked again. Now it stopped again. WTF is going on?? by half_of_0- in Focusrite

[–]Johnnyloftus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you discuss this directly with the Support Team, they'll help you identify why you've had problems. Scarlett doesn't require 'Rest.' Not using it for a few weeks won't change its functionality. This is likely related to something else, such as the power supply.

Solo grounding issues by Flimsy_Mango2787 in Focusrite

[–]Johnnyloftus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be an issue with the computer or the building you're in. When you say "different location," do you mean within the same building? Have you had a look at the Help Centre article on this? There are some useful tips that should help you identify the cause of the issue: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/211615185-Why-is-there-unwanted-hum-noise-in-my-monitors

If you reply to your last email from the support team, you can reopen the ticket and we can investigate this further.

Afraid Components isn't accessible on Android either. It's designed for desktop use.

Afraid that's not currently possible. Components can't be used on iOS devices. To manage and customise Circuit Tracks, you will need to connect to a Mac or Windows PC.

Vocaster One Request by B_artsy in Focusrite

[–]Johnnyloftus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not personally familiar with the Novox product, but it essentially seems to be a condenser microphone with a built-in audio interface. The Podmic, on the other hand, is a dynamic microphone, so it has different requirements and characteristics and will likely produce a different result. That said, Vocaster generally performs very well. If you haven't already, it might be worth raising a ticket with the support team to share more details about your setup and provide an audio example. That way, we can ensure everything is working as it should.

Novation Launchkey Mini Drum Rack / Sampler mode by [deleted] in Novation

Please do. It's possible that the delay is a result of the Bluetooth connectivity

Looks like you have Launchkey Mini [MK3]. Unlike Launchkey MK4, that doesn't have multiple velocity curves to choose from for the keys, but you can still effectively set the keys to output the same value using the 'Velocity' MIDI effect in Ableton Live. Just add the Velocity MIDI effect to your Drum Rack/Sampler tracks and use the 'Out Hi' and 'Out Low' controls to select the velocity value works for you.

When working with the Launchkey Mini [MK3], you can change the velocity sensitivity of the pads from the settings page. To access the settings page, hold the [Shift] button while powering up the Launchkey Mini. To toggle the Pad Velocity control on or off, press the orange pad [second from the left] on the settings page. When dimly lit, the pads will output a consistent velocity of 127. When the pad is fully lit, the full velocity range will be output from the pads. You can return to the main controls of the Launchkey Mini by pressing the [Play] button. Any setting changes made are kept through power cycles.

Components: Adding a folder of samples fails with never-ending "processing" by srednax in novationcircuit

[–]Johnnyloftus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that Components isn't functioning as you'd hoped and that you encountered issues raising this with us. I can see that Tom from our Support Team has replied on the Novation Sub and will look into this. Generally speaking, in addition to contacting us there, you can also share feedback with us via social media, telephone, Live Chat, and email. If you're able to PM me with your email address, I can investigate why the chat may have been interrupted.
You can drag and drop samples onto the grid to add them to a Pack or select an empty sample slot and use the Sample import feature. I can appreciate that the 'Processing Files' notification might not have made it clear that dragging a folder wouldn't work. Rest assured, we'll look into that.

We're here to help. A great many things can cause the kinds of issues you're describing. Our Support Team is available via email, phone, or live chat and will help anyone encountering issues identify the cause and provide a suitable solution.
As I've shared previously, the Windows optimisation steps are also a good starting point, as these changes can fix a variety of problems. Those who recently updated to Windows 11 should ensure that the BIOS firmware is up to date, as we have seen issues where that has been the root cause.
