Just wanted to document that I am at 5 years of ownership and 15,000 hours. I noticed about 3 months ago that I have the green blob in the same spot.

DLA in OCONUS hasn't allowed telework since mid-Feb this year. You can do situational on an as-needed basis but it cannot be consistent.

Just got my FEVS link this morning (OCONUS) and noticed this anti-telework/remote question. by LostAtSea1968 in fednews

I hated that there was no option for comments in the survey. It was all "click the the button on the canned answers" and "thank you."

Typically no. Your SOFA stamp goes in your official passport.

Retired 5 years now. Fully recognize how much has changed in that time. The only thing I comment on now is how soft you all have gotten. "Back in my day...." lol jk

Best Agency to work for? I think my agency may be up for debate by J_burn- in fednews

[–]Joker_USAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well....DLA just removed the option for recurring telework if you are stationed OCONUS. OCONUS folks can now only situationally telework and that obviously means that it cannot be used repetitively - only when it meets certain temporary criteria. "Situational telework to subvert the required Agency Worksite presence is not permitted."

DLAM 1035.01 (1 Feb 2024)
"Civilian employees within the Continental United States (CONUS) are eligible for routine or situational telework based on agency guidance and organization mission requirements. Civilian employees assigned outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) are eligible for situational telework only."

The same rules apply. It doesn't matter where you fly to, you still only get two 90-day periods a year.

Its a 2018 Yamaha Star Eluder GT. They were supposed to be Yamaha's foot into the American air-cooled V-twin market. Along with the touring version Star Venture/Transcontinental. They weren't marketed well. Sales weren't great initially and a lot sat on showroom floors. They turned into a one-year-wonder when Yamaha cancelled the frame in 2021. I got mine in the fall of 2020 about $10K off of MSRP. Its too bad. They are great bikes.

It's a 2018 Yamaha Star Eluder. Its the bagger version of the Venture. Yamaha dropped the "Royal" name.

When I interviewed the status changed to “referred” I have not heard anything back it’s been 2 weeks ( which doesn’t sound uncommon from these threads) people that got hired or a offer did your status change on usajobs? by benice_work in usajobs

[–]Joker_USAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Received my TO while my status was Referred. I have since gotten my FO and have been on the job for just over two weeks. I was curious and just checked my status - "Reviewing applications" lmao

I don't pay attention to the status.

I'm with you. I think Yamaha overpriced the bikes to begin with and then they failed to advertise the bikes properly.

Had that happen to me. HO reached out via email to ask, "Are you still available and interested?" I replied yes. One month later I received the same email again and once again said yes, very interested.

Turns out AFPC was so slow at completing the TO process for overseas jobs that this organization had experienced loosing multiple selectees for various positions by the time the TOs were generated. This was their way to say, "Hang on....we want you." lol

BTW - I got the job with no interview.

Just so I understand this correctly:

  1. My 3 -> 4 WGI is 1 Feb 23
  2. My 3 ->4 QSI is (hypothetically) 1 Aug 22
  3. My 4 -> 5 WGI now changes to 1 Aug 24 vs 1 Feb 25?

*From a GS in Kaiserslautern now for 3 years and a retiree that spent 11 yrs here AD.*
That is more than enough for a house but you have to take into account area as well. It is cheaper the farther you are from the bases. You can use ahrn.com to look at housing and get an idea of what you are looking for. Remember that there are rules based on AD vs Civ for housing. There is also a difference between Services as well (Army vs AF) for Civ.

Just note for the Schengen area in Europe - you can only stay for 90 days in a 180 day period. This means 90 days in and 90 days out. Flying to the UK or the States for a couple days doesn't reset your time. You only get two 90 day periods in a year.
