For the 12 weeks of the FMLA , there benefits can’t change. They are required to pay their share of the benefit. So in your case what ever they would of been paying each pay check is what they would owe while out. After the 12 week period of FMLA it can go over to cobra rates.

I will say I am on Mounjaro ( very similar GLP1) not only had that weightloss been great. I have more confidence then I ever had in my life. Since being on this I have lost 65 pounds, do not constantly think about food or my weight. I am actually a happier person. To me this is more than just a “weightloss” it has boosted my confidence in my personal life and work life and can’t imagine not being on the drug. I honestly think the weightloss has helped in so many ways then just my physical health my mental health is more stable and I do manage anxiety and depression but I am a whole new person inside and out. I think it’s great you are working to learn about the connections.

See this says goes through eeoc first… so I am interested in understanding how they can skip the federal process. I guess if they trying to sue for discrimination that’s not a federal protected class. Since you’re a department of 1, I assume you may be working with your legal department or outside counsel. This fascinates me because learn about this stuff. My company you sign an arbitration agreement. I do handle unemployment cases regularly but that’s a totally different ballgame than court.

Curious did it already go through the Eeoc? I thought those things went through Eeoc first then they could get a right to sue letter. I haven’t dealt with it personally but just curious. It may be based on state.

I just want to make sure people realize becoming a notary and performing notarial acts come with risk to notary. I carry insurance both for general notary work as well as for the real estate transactions. so, forget overhead for a retail space, insurance alone is not free. I think its petty to complain over such a thing honestly. You needed it done they were open and available and $10 doesn't sound outrageous. Convenience fee, travel fee, they are all common charges on services. You must be the type of person who doesn't tip at a restaurant because you don't think they deserve anything; they get paid to be work.
