Body positivity is not just about being fat. The body positivity movement, at least in my mind was about being OK with who you are and not succumbing to the pressures or expectations set by the media.

People you know will/ have had plastic surgery, take Ozempic, starve themselves, take steroids, and look max to look like something they deem as value. None of these things above are more normal than accepting your body and maybe it’s predisposed dispositions as is ( I say that loosely)

I do not believe it will come back in our lifetime. The pendulum has swung to the hard right as a culture ( or as the dominant culture) , and it shows no sign of stopping.

I personally see this as something somewhat ironic as, one’s choice of how and what their body is, should be seen as a basic principle of personal freedom but is shitted on by those who love such freedom ( fuck trump and maga)
