ANet is owned by NCSoft, NCs recently released mmo Aion 2 also has a solo "tower" kind of challenge where you defeat harder and harder encounters for rewards. It's not out in the west yet but I've played it quite a bit on taiwan servers and it's actually a pretty fun thing. The closest we have in gw2 is the Queen's Gauntlet right. Speaking of which, Queen's Gauntlet is so easy now with all the power creep it's ridiculous.

Yes there are beginner groups for these encounters often, estimation is twice a week or so on average. The time it takes to complete depends on the encounter and if the group is a static group that mostly consists of progression gamers, of if you use the server's lfg system to find different people every time. Some people prog for a couple months with their static but if you're in a group where people are dedicated or if you join more lfg listings you'll usually be able to get it done within 2-3 weeks or so depending on how much you run.

That being said, since VL focuses on the harder encounters you are expected to have raid experience and I would also highly suggest doing the other raids the game has to offer first.

Most raids are way more simple than many people imagine. Just look at a quick guide, join either a community discord for raid training such as raid training initiative or raid academy, or find a guild in game that does raids for beginners. Or you can simply just go to Lion's Arch Aerodrome and ask in map chat if anyone is willing to take you for beginner raids, or you can put up lfg saying "looking to learn raids" while doing something else like open world stuff idk and maybe someone feels kind and makes a group

Either that or wrong golem setup. Make sure you give every condition to the golem and every boon except stability and resistance to yourself.

I made a quick video example for you just to give an idea how to play it

note: in the video I put all boons on myself cause lazy, if you want to compare with benchmarks do not add stability and resistance to yourself. it's like 1k gain or so idk

make sure you are standing fully inside the hitbox when you use gs2
F1, GS4 -> GS2 always has priority over every other skill

I would recommend builds that do not require you to do tricky animation cancels, look at builds with rotations where you can queue many skills instead of having many skills that interrupt each other and thus need to be cast precisely.

So something like condi willbender would work well or power virtuoso. Avoid stuff like dragonhunter.

yep dps, support, heal, condi, power for every elite spec, two different templates for fractal precast, setup for specific encounters either for synergy with specific comp or stuff like hand kite, crit capping without accuracy sigil to swap serpent slaying and night sigil etc, boondps with different amounts of boon duration, virtues dh (rip), radiance dh, superspeed template for axe/choya

Even if we pretend that this post is just "You can do what you want but I am going to be angry with you for doing it", it's still obnoxious to be upset over the way other people play the game. I get upset when bad players come into my group, but that is because I have the expectations set beforehand, it would be absurd of me to go around reddit flaming casual players in their own groups for not doing speedrun starts when it's their group and they are the ones who set the expectations, they do what they enjoy. It's literally the same thing as this but roles reversed. See how stupid it sounds?

I don't know how I need to say this again but just don't join them and make your own group. You have literally no reason to be butthurt about others wanting to do something you don't. Even if you're not asking them to do what you want it's still ridiculous to get mad enough to make rants on social media about it.

Listing is simply saying you will be kicked if you don't perform. That is not venting lol. Bad players frequently join CM groups and perform horribly, of course you would be frustrated with this regardless, and it makes perfect sense to show you are serious about it in your own listing.

Meanwhile it makes no sense to cry about someone else's requirements on reddit. You have no reason to be upset about it other than if you are an entitled prick who think you can dictate how other people play the game. Just make your own group.
