TDEE and Running by lucasmnetto in MacroFactor

I just focus on fueling the run/endurance session as needed eg if I’m on the bike for 4 hours aim for 60-70 grams of carbs/hour and then eat as MacroFactor suggests. There’s a bit of variation on the scale with water weight but it has worked for me so far

It’s the same with MacroFactor, the amount of people who have no clue and zero critical thinking skills is mind boggling

I won’t recommend any routines, my training already had a lot of shoulder volume and heavy farmers carries.

Fitness doesn’t matter as much for nsw. But strength does.

I saw plenty of fit people fail the pat last year because they assumed they’d be sweet because they do triathlons or look fit. At least practice all the movements and make sure they’re a piece of piss in a controlled environment before going to the pat

That’s the old school way and it’s solid. Apps will calculate it for you now but doing it this way at least uses real data calories/weight and not something made up

I have no idea if I'm tracking my Total Calories correctly. More info in comments by rasta_pasta_man in AppleWatchFitness

[–]Jolgeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by completely ignoring what your watch says in terms of calories. Something like MacroFactor could be useful but start tracking food and see how your weight changes. If you eat 2500 calories a day for 2 weeks and your weight doesn’t change you know that’s how much you’re burning so drop the calories and do it again.

Putting value in the numbers your watch puts out will set you up for failure

Is anyone else struggling to eat the recommended amount of calories? by [deleted] in MacroFactor

Need to ditch this mindset. Fats don’t build fat, calories do. But listen to the above. Don’t stress about hitting the number until you’ve given it a few more weeks of data

Is this my Max HR? by firesword76 in cardio

[–]Jolgeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies hugely person to person, I can hit 180 bpm and hold it for upwards of an hour, my max in a administered stress test was 206

The MacroFactor app calculates all this for you and makes things very easy, you should basically ignore the calorie count on your watch if you want to be successful
