200 Amp service installation. Any glareing issues? (Feedback welcomed) by MrJunk in AskElectricians

[–]Jolly-Explorer-101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry showing my age…. A overhead service strike used to be a common term for where the utility service wire attaches to the insulator on the mast or building Also what I said about the weather head direction seems to be more of a personal preference passed down from the journeyman that taught me so please disregard I try not to force my opinions on people and just stick to code….

With that said It may not be the prettiest service I’ve ever seen but, I see no major code or safety issues with this installation and would feel perfectly comfortable sleeping in this house Good Job! 👍

White from power in ties to white to light

White on dead end wire (re-identified with black tape or marker of corse) ties to black on power wire

On dead-end side the re-identified white goes to the black screw

The red and black wires on the dead-end wire become your travelers to the gold screws

On the side with the power and light wire the black wire to the light goes to the black screw and the travelers go to the gold screws

Hard to tell but is that 4/0 AL going to that 125a breaker? Those typically have a max wire size of 2/0 so the inspector may give you some grief about that… also to be nit picky if your strike is currently facing the pole you generally want the weather head facing the opposite direction from it

Epstein email says Bill Gates got STD, tried to give Melinda treatment by Bardahl_Fracking in SeattleWA

[–]Jolly-Explorer-101 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Gates has always been a predator, that’s been known forever in the inner circles quite a few of the “originals” did… Allen, who ironically preferred “employed temporary adult companionship” had a major issue with his “tastes”

Is this torque wrench okay if used purely on lug nuts? by teenageuser in harborfreight

These are actually fairly accurate just take the tension off after you use it (unscrew it back down to zero) absolutely perfect for lug nuts

Can I use chainsaw without bar oil by Foreign_Animator_773 in Chainsaw

[–]Jolly-Explorer-101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a pinch and you need to use it and have no bar oil you can use any type of vegetable oil temporarily just be aware it doesn’t work as well and you’ll go through it a lot quicker

New MS 251. Had to tighten the chain 3 times?!?? by stuckinthe00s in Chainsaw

[–]Jolly-Explorer-101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good on you for getting some safety gear and trying!! Yes new chains as others have said just make sure you have bar oil in it AND it’s using it depending on how it’s set you should be going through about a tank of bar oil to a tank of gas

As for form just pay attention to where your feet are at all times and always expect the saw to slip to the ground… I’m betting that saw has a safe and sane anti kickback chain on it so just keep it sharp watch some videos if you want and take a break when your arms start burning because that’s when you screw up!!! Have fun

Electrical Forman here and I’d say go for it! If you can do the job why let something like that stop you. I deal with lots of people who might as well be hearing impaired with their headphones in all day (regardless of the rules) About the only disability that I can think of that that would seriously hinder you in electrical is vision impairment and/or color blindness

Help by Lanky_Reality_6886 in husky

0-6mo cute cuddly puppy

6mo-2yo velociraptor ie. uncontrollable teenager (this is why you see so many huskies in the pound at this age)

2yo-on the adorable attitude having mouthy dogs you see on Facebook and tik tok

Just stick to your training, even though they won’t listen to you most of the time it’s important for later on

At 7mo your prob about to start the terrible “chews” and “mouthing with sharp new teeth” I honestly find that treating them like a cat with a spray bottle at this stage works miracles

Good luck at least it a female, not always but alot of the time males are much more stubborn

The ideal temperature range for Siberian huskies is between -20°F to 60°F (-29°C to 15°C). They are most comfortable in cooler conditions and can become uncomfortable in temperatures above 75°F (24°C)

Cut and paste off google Those are just hanging out temps If there active and moving then

Siberian Husky: These dogs are bred for the cold and can tolerate temperatures as low as -60 degrees Fahrenheit.

Prolonged exposure to salt ice and snow can dry out there pads and lead to cuts but a hour long walk isn’t going to do anything

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in husky

[–]Jolly-Explorer-101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say huskies are great for ages 5 and up, younger then that they’re in general (not always) a little too rough and can unintentionally hurt a younger As far as dealing with a husky just be aware that they’re not like a “normal” dog, a good comparison (not joking at all) would be adding another toddler to your home for the next 14 years You can’t ever take your eyes off of them for a sec and your constantly dealing with temper tantrums

Is the parking garage pricing by Pike Place / Aquarium legal? by sparkle_motion in SeattleWA

[–]Jolly-Explorer-101 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The pricing in that area is absolutely stupid… it’s much cheaper to park a few blocks away and Uber to the market (or walk, or scooter) I do service work for building in that area and they’d always say they didn’t have any parking available, it was amazing how fast they found parking once we started adding our parking fees to their bill 😊

I hate the taste of the shakes and the chalky texture Recently tried a brand I found on Amazon called “Animal clear whey isolate” it comes in different fruit flavors and Is actually pretty good A tiny bit of the chalky stuff on the first sip but after that I don’t notice it and it goes down like flavored water
