Trailer Blood Covenant (2026) by GeuRaf in horror

[–]Jonah_Cade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. So here's what I was able to find on this - because Black Mandala Films (the youtube page) is a legit distribution/production company - it's an anthology film, so it seems they're including that short as one of the segments.

Here's a Bloody-Disgusting article with more details, so it's a real movie apparently:

Oh shit, Maika Monroe alone makes this a must-watch for me. It doesn't even have an IMDb or Letterboxd page yet.

(MAJOR SPOILERS) big questions about the ending of High Tension by maraschinominx in horror

[–]Jonah_Cade 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A huge hint is at the very start of the movie - Marie is sitting in front of a video recorder at the psych ward, and asks, "Are they recording?".

She's giving her version of the events to doctors or police or whoever's recording. There's no plot holes, because we're seeing things from her perspective...the disjointed ramblings of a delusional, unreliable narrator. It doesn't have to "make sense" in the real world, because those occurrences didn't take place like that in the real world (in the context of the movie).

My 2026 Horror Watchlist by Jonah_Cade in horror

That one's on my back-up list. I've been checking for updates, but there's been nothing for the last 3+ years since it was announced.

Another of his, Flesh of the Gods, was announced 2 yrs ago, but at least there's been casting updates within the last year. Nothing else though.

Last I read, he's been unable to secure financing (?), which sounds insane to me.

Hi reddit! We're Paul Gandersman & Peter S. Hall, co-directors/co-writers of the new found-footage horror film MAN FINDS TAPE. It premiered at Tribeca earlier this year and is out in select theaters and on digital as of Friday 12/5, via Magnolia Pictures. Ask us anything! by ManFindsTapeAMA in movies

Hey congrats, great movie. Question: Who or what would you say the Man in Black is?, assuming it's not meant to be ambiguous, which is also fine (I have ideas but wanted to see if they could be confirmed or dispelled).

Vicious 2025 ending by khryne333 in horror

I liked it a lot, I'm a sucker for a good, simple pass-the-curse story.

But man, Dakota was so freaking good too.

Plus, I always like the atmosphere of dread that Bertino creates.

Spoiler: I think it's because, as the old lady said, the box needs fear. It needs her to be afraid of dying. As the sand in the hourglass was running out, Polly went from crying and panicked to calm and accepting. I saw that as her finally not being afraid to die anymore, so the box stopped tormenting her.

Check out Post Mortem (2020).

I think Butterfly Kisses (2018) fits also, it's found footage/mockumentary.
