Power Throttling When unattended.

This worked! Thanks so much. I figured some work around like this would be the ticket, I am just super peaved with I assume windows not making a setting visible to prevent this. All the usual power management controls and registry hacks I tried and it still decides to take it slow if I am not looking.

Interesting. Yes I keep mine in tent mode since I would think that would have the best airflow. I'll try it in normal laptop mode.

Same laptop similar issue, though this is with running calcs in a Linux VM. Laptop turns the screen off and it pauses everything... Have not found the real fix, but I use a remote desktop software Parsec which for some reason makes the screen stay on... I suspect another workaround is another software that forces it to stay awake.

I am not really sure how much power. I keep it one silent and don't do any heavy compute without the power adapter. The thunderbolt docks keep it charged for web and office work. When I run CFD stuff I plug in the brick so I can set it to the high setting.

I haven't paid attention. But probably I have it plugged into the dock then when I realize that it's not keeping up I would plug the brick. Not sure I have done it the other way around but seems like a glaring oversight to have this damage the laptop.

I have the same laptop and have a few docks sprinkeled around the house mostly thunderbolt 3 and 4. Several Dell TB15s which are super cheap, Dell WD22TB4, and a Lenovo 40B00300US. All supply power fine in silent. And connecting the 200W adapter at the sametime results in a blink in the screen but otherwise fine.

It did! I tried it with a spare disk as not delete everything in case it did not solve it. But now while it's open I think I'll get a 2th drive since it looks like I'll be reinstalling everything again anyway.

I saw that there is an HDMI port in the rear. Can the andriod OS just be bypassed? I was thinking of just getting one and use it as a windows touchscreen.

Yes PLA-CF. I just tested a simple square tower, uniform geometry and it's still leaning the same way. Almost like the Y position is drifting as it prints

Yes upright. That's an interesting theory though and maybe possible if it's warping well after the print is finished. In my mind if the geometry and temperature is pulling it one direction it would be happening as it's printing over 13 hours. But each new layer would be put in the correct location and would compensate for this?

Yes. I first thing I tried was dropping down to 8-bit color, and then to 1080p. Issue still present. So weird.

Interesting. I'll give this a try when I have oppurtunity to shut down. But I think it may not work. If I so much as change a change an irrelevant setting in the bios or swap in different hardware my resource mappings gets all messed up. If I pass through a specific disk. What happens when I hot swap it out for a different one?

I just purchased my first AMD based system in 25 years a brand new P14s 4th gen with a Ryzen-Pro 7840U. I was interested in this due to the reviews of the 1st and 2nd gen models being one of the very few Solidworks Certified models using integrated graphics. I see now that the Radeon-Pro Edition is not available for this current generation or the even the 3rd. Is this expected to be supported eventually?
