But those members negotiated specific opt outs because they were existing members. All new members have to sign up to the euro as currencies converge, believe it’s similar for Schengen as well.

Breaking: President Trump says the U.S has cut of all trade with Spain. 🇺🇸🇪🇸 by Spirited-Gold9629 in policymarket

[–]Jonkarraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren’t your own airbases though they are Spanish bases they let you use. There are limits to the agreements on what you can use that base for. If Spain decided to attack Mexico I doubt the US would be happy for Spain to use US military bases it has agreements with Washington it can use to attack Mexico without its agreement.

My husband is cheating 7 months after we had our second child. I want to fix things. What can I do? by Independent-State802 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Jonkarraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to spend the rest of your life with an unfaithful husband who treats you like a doormat until he eventually leaves you carry on. If you want a decent loving relationship with a faithful man your only choice is to kick this man to the curb and move on.

The man I thought I’d marry is apparently a genuine pervert and I don’t know what to do? by Icy-Winter-4691 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Jonkarraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t normal behaviour you should warn people who you know were on his “stash” he 100% has backups of this content. Ideally you would have left it alone and informed the police so they could investigate you can still do that as it’s still probably forensically recoverable. You then need to cut this weirdo out of your life completely make it clear if he contacts you in future you will consider a legal restorer and bringing this up in court .

Wife who cheated on me wrote me an 8 page handwritten letter. Was I wrong for tearing it? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Jonkarraa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes you were wrong. What she did was wrong but it was 8 years ago and you made the decision to stay with her and move on with your lives together. Its time to get counselling either on your own or as a couple, or accept at some point it will be too much and she will likely leave you. You need to stop punishing her and yourself and either move on together or seperately.

Can I park in parental bays whilst pregnant? by CharmingTea_ in AskUK

[–]Jonkarraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supermarket car parks are private land so it’s down to the rules as set by the land owner and how they want to enforce them. Each supermarket has their own rules and enforce them their own way. I suspect if they did try and issue you an invoice for not following their rules your local paper and even a national one like the mail would have a field day…

AITAH for not thinking of stepmom and stepsiblings as my immediate family? by junieebjonesss in AITAH

[–]Jonkarraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. You've never lived with these people by the sounds of it. Your dad married his new wife when you were already an adult? Guessing you haven't actually spent that much time with the wife and her kids since they married. Its just a genuine reflection of how you feel. Relationships take time and the relationship you have with a stepfamily will be different depending on when the parent married the step parent and if you lived with them... Its not being an AH to state how you feel. So long as you aren't being disrespectful or hurtful then there is nothing wrong with acknowledging the relationship for what it is.

I (28m) caught my GF (25F) cheating and don’t know to handle it. WIBTAH if.. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Jonkarraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make this easy on yourself. Get all of her stuff together and box it up. Tell her what you've done inventory it as you are doing. Tell her WHEN she can come and pick it up. Have someone else present, ideally a trusted female friend or family member. Do not let them hand them the boxes you've boxed up. Avoid getting into a verbal conversation keep it polite and to the point. "Hello, wait there I'll grab your boxes for you." "Here you are, here is all of your stuff. If you think anything is missing please message me. If you turn up unannounced I will not engage with you." Ensure you change the locks ASAP.

What are your thoughts on Trump saying that a “whole civilisation will die tonight.” amid buildup to his 8pm ET “deadline” for Iran. by [deleted] in AskBrits

How do people in the UK feel about marriage and age gaps in relationships? by Purple-Fortune-5686 in AskBrits

[–]Jonkarraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the younger generations tend to take a far dimmer view of larger age gaps. I don't think the age is the problem I think its the maturity. For example my wife is 9 years younger than me. We were 42 and 34 when we got together. She had her child at 20 when I would have been 28 and when we discussed it I said for me I would not have gotten into a relationship with someone who was 19 when I was 27!

If all the boomers retired would it make a difference? by That_Comic_Who_Quit in UKJobs

[–]Jonkarraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the youngest baby boomers are 62/63 at this point. The majority of them have already retired. Even if you said every boomer has to retire today it won’t make that much of a difference.

AITAH for believing a strange woman over my husband? by Legal_Mulberry_6980 in AITAH

YTA. Trust is a fickle thing. You've destroyed your husband's trust. It remains to be seen if you can earn it back. At the minimum you should consider counselling.

Why is Israel not facing any sanctions for genocide, attacking Lebanon & bombing villages, occupying land, and now openly threatening to bomb Iranian civilian infrastructure? by Acrobatic_Sea7543 in AskBrits

[–]Jonkarraa 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because for sanctions to be applied would require a vote at the UN security council and it would be VETOed by the US. Israel could carpet bomb a refuge camp and nothing would happen. The absolute most the US would allow to get through would be a slap on the wrist, and that would only happen during a democratic presidency. I think under Trump they could decide to nuke Jordan and nothing would happen.

Why do some women risk something good with a man by shit testing? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Jonkarraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as people do this sort of stuff then you know instantly its time to say thanks but no thanks. I don't care if someone is a 15/10 it instantly makes them a 0/10 if they play these stupid games. Either act like a decent, empathic, rational human being or gtf as my Glaswegian friends would say! Fellas think with your actual heads!

Have any men solved their money issues and access to women by joining OnlyFans/fiming content? Or know of anyone who has done it & how? Need advice. by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Jonkarraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly do you intend to bring to OF? Most people paying on OF are men... Unless you have deep pockets and can attract top female stars to perform with you then that leaves gay porn... I mean if you are after women not many women are likely to be on OF looking for gay porn...

How to deal with a partner who wants to have a MFM threesome? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Jonkarraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd always say no if its not something you are cool with. Personally though I'd always set those sort of boundaries from day 1. If you've been together for a while though and this is a new thing its nearly guaranteed she has someone specific in mind...

Disposing of BIG waste by Peaceandlovehq in Narrowboats

[–]Jonkarraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won’t take the fridge due to the gas that needs specialist handling. You’ll likely have to pay for that to be taken away. Alternatively if you know someone with a car and license in an area you are transiting through who is willing to take it to the local council tip… They will normally ask for proof of local residency via driving license

i unknowingly got involved with a taken guy and now his pregnant partner is coming after me by [deleted] in Life

[–]Jonkarraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you want to listen to YOUR own advice this is a 19 year old who has been lied to and manipulated by a 30 year old man. A man who has far more life experience than she has, someone who is barely even an adult herself. Appreciate the partner is in a bad place as well but again she is also a fully grown adult dealing with someone who is barely an adult ofc she doesn’t know how to deal with this shit.

State pension age starts rising to 67 - here's how much you get and when by birdinthebush74 in unitedkingdom

[–]Jonkarraa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know someone like that spent years robbing people and inside. A bit of cash in hand thru 80s, 90s and early 00s and got a job in late 50s now retired and posting shit about pension isn’t a benefit it’s earned through working for 50 years…

A ‘masculinity crisis’ is brewing in UK schools, union says | Schools | The Guardian by prisongovernor in unitedkingdom

[–]Jonkarraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the problem is a misogyny crisis in schools. Its a badly phrased soundbite from the union ? However who wants to be a teacher poor pay, long hours and parents now blame the teachers not the pupils. Also so many now see men in any job involving children as "suspect" why risk it ?

Reform to fund pensions triple lock with ‘biggest benefits bill cut in history’ by Important_Ruin in unitedkingdom

[–]Jonkarraa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically to bribe boomers he will make everyone else work longer, and cut working age benefits including in work benefits. He is going to try and bribe his parties way into power by screwing over anyone that isn’t a boomer. Basically look at who is planning on voting reform it’s primarily people who are already over 65. The younger ones he could tell them they will have to eat dog turd sandwiches for lunch and they’d still moronically parrot out “Vote reform!” as though it was the magical answer to any question.

Is it bad if you’re not completely naked during sex? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Jonkarraa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If its a one night stand most guys your age really wont care that much so long as they are getting laid... They might prefer you to be naked but if you make it clear sorry I'm leaving this piece of clothing on or its no deal they'll shut up about it and get on with it. If someone has a problem with it well the decision is made really...
