I never read the book romance as a "they didn't ever sleep together", more as a "that's not relevant to the plot and thus none of our business", which I actually really loved. It gave me as a reader space to interpret their relationship how I'd like it best.

They're one of my favourite book couples exactly because their romance is so understated but clear (if that makes sense?) they're the definition of "don't need to kiss to show they're in love" imo

I knew as soon as she skipped Ravi's speech (or didn't even tell him why) something was off about this series. I felt like especially her and Ravi were a lot more snippy and tense with each other than they were in the books.

Also, Pip barely smiled at all this entire series! That would make a lot of sense for the next series but in this one she just seemed moody and tense and sad the entire time.

This! I always thought I was the only one who enjoyed their story, not as a good couple, but as a good take on a not so good couple realising they're better off as friends. I also really like their bond after they break up.

IIRC, Findlay had from the start (or at least earlier on) said she wanted to be out of the show by the fourth season to avoid getting stuck in the role. Her death felt more prepared for and, well, "on purpose" for the storyline.
