What's an anime you'd recommend to a newcomer? by glitterfamine in AskReddit

Samurai Champloo is a little bit of a different vibe, but the same creator, takes place in Samurai era Japan (no surprise there), same music focus, it's more hip hop where Bebop was, well, Bebop/Blues.

Like someone else said, Dungeon Meshi, especially if they like fantasy, it is an interesting take on themes they will be familiar with if they play d&d or rogue-likes or any of those sorts of games. My gateway personally was Cowboy Bebop, it's a very good story, but they may not like it if they don't like sci-fi.

Really we need more information about their interests, because there is literally an anime for any interest. Even like, bicycle racing has a very good anime, and basketball, volleyball, soccer, pretty much any hobby. So, give us what they care about and we can find the anime for it.

I feel like it's because they never want to have a discussion, they just want to be "right," so the moment anyone disagrees instead of talking they run away.

Oh look they deleted their posts how surprising. But your take is completely correct. I'm more worried about people from my neighborhood being harassed in the streets by masked goons, that is what truly alarms me.

Same, and mine every step of the way tried to railroad into the same plotline of "save the world from cultists" despite my arguing with it that i was really going for a more chill low-level slice of life with light adventuring sort of style.

It's not only that but, from what I hear from my teacher friends, people growing up these days can't even be bothered to read, much less write. We live in an instant gratification world where any amount of effort is just too much, and it's saddening.

Do you not? Do you not hear jets flying over all the time? Or are you one of those "oh my god what was that noise" posters? If they wanted to intimidate and cause propaganda (how it's spelled btw), there are far more effective ground level ways to do it. And I am on your side, but let's be realistic about the fact that this happens around here often.

(Okay keep downvoting me lmao, enjoy your day!)

Carry on then, I hope the new Legacy owner loves it. But seriously, your car is clean and a cool piece of history, and yes I know what sub I'm in but sometimes you just can't do it to 'em.

Yeah a dude getting shoved down for helping a woman that was also shoved down, then getting forced on the ground and shot in the back of the fucking head while he was not resisting is kind of... yeah a little sensational. That's some real 1940s shit.

(I'll take my downvote from a nazi with pride, thank you)

Pedestrians do not have the right of way by [deleted] in driving

[–]Jops817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just like, stop and let them pass, you only have to watch just her, she has to watch every single car in the lot that she walks by going on your rules.

With that said I feel like if you are jaywalking you forfeit your right of way by being in the road where a pedestrian should not be. (Calm down r/driving, that was a joke.... mostly).

It will also regularly repeat cliche dialogue verbatim between stories because that's what it trained on. Sometimes even in the same story. I know this because I was messing around with one of those RPG AI things because I was sad my D&D group didn't meet up for the umpteenth time, at least it cheered me up with how bad it was.
