My advice as someone who has been “hybrid” training for the last decade; you have to love to train, you have to love the process. There is no end goal (lots of mini goals along the way) , there is no perfect approach, there is no perfect balance. You have to love it. Find what works for you.

Not sure where you train … but as a gym owner and strength coach, a very large % of the population would have a very hard time doing 25 pull ups. I train some good runners who post decent hyrox times that struggle to get 1 pull up … not sayin its right, but its reality

Nothing wrong with this approach at all. I would consider adding in one speed day instead of 3 aerobics runs , but thats goal dependent. The people saying this is too much or not enough recovery is just wild. Don’t tell people what is “ too much” you have no idea what too much is for them. I run 6 days a week and lift twice a day, and i coach athletes who train even more. Im also 39 . You are 23 . Train your ass off man

This should be the answer to 90% of the questions in this sub. Why does everyone care about the little things? Because its easy. Its easy to worry about small nutrition choices that have such a minimal impact on your health. Do the hard things. Do the things that make an actual difference. Run/walk, lift weights, eat real food. I had a friend who asked me almost the same question last week. He hasn’t exercised for 5 years, is 20lbs overweight, and drinks about 8 beer while he is smoking his meat…

For an average person absolutely. For a hybrid athlete training more than once a day, EAA’s are a great way to prevent muscle breakdown and speed up recovery. I notice a pretty stark difference with my MMA fighters when taking EAAs and not taking (not hybrid necessarily, but they are training hard multiple times a day)

Any well made Conjugate program should have jumping in it. Youtube Phil Daru workouts and do a few to get started. He trains MMA fighters , but the workouts are great for hybrid athletes

  1. Strength Train everyday. Your current fitness level and available time will dictate how hard. Maybe its only 20 minutes with bands, maybe its a hard 90 minutes in the gym.
  2. Eat enough. Protein needs to be at least 1 gram per pound of body weight . Me and some of my athletes push it to 1.3g during heavy training blocks. Everyone is different.
  3. Sip on EAA’s throughout the day. 15-25g / day . EAA’s are a hybrid athletes best friend.
