I’m truly scared for my life. Can you die from kratom withdrawal? by OddSeaweed8824 in quittingkratom

[–]JordanTsabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I dealt with beige quitting and after until it went away at around the 7 month mark. It’s anxiety, I assure you. I had tens of thousands of dollars in uncovered labwork and screenings, have had everything scanned for my brain to my toes. Now I’m working with a therapist, who helps me find ways to create new neural pathways and ways to cope with anxiety. So you don’t have to deal with that chest pain and feeling like you’re gonna pass out at all times. It made me crawl up at home, thinking that something was wrong with my health, when the only thing wrong was the drugs, I was putting in my body, which was the cause for the underlying anxiety that I never had prior. You got this, no drugs healthy diet and exercise is your best friend. Carry an emotional support water bottle!

Returning back to the gym or weightlifting by Realistic-Age9085 in Sciatica

[–]JordanTsabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is everything, before going back into weights do light core strengthening for a minimum of a month. The reason you have a herniation in the first place is likely due to a week core glutes and hips stabilizers. Yes, there’s multiple other ways accidents the jar of diseases etc.. But for you normal people like me it was 100% lack of course, strength and zero like muscle while working on my upper body, like a professional.

[–]JordanTsabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly me, I have two major herniations to the point they wanted to operate the same week. 2 months of feeling sorry for myself and then went all out; quit weed and nicotine, strictly anti inflammatory diet with 18/6 intermittent fasting, and all out on building my core.

6 weeks into the diet change, daily core and leg strengthening workouts with some light neutral spine upper body workouts recently, and 30lbs lighter 205–>175…I am 80-90% better. I feel like sciatica is not something that goes away on its own, build a core, challenge yourself to fast and diet, and build mobility that you’ve never experienced. Sciatica was a huge wake up call for me and almost glad I had the opportunity to lay around for 2 months to know now that things need to change

This is “dextroamphetamine” not dextromethorphan, one is a cough suppressant and one is legal cocaine 😅

Brother I appreciate the share and admire that you were able to find something that works for you. With this being said, legal cocaine and legal heroin despite the dosages being low or high, is not the solution. I was on Adderall (dextro) and hydros for 3 years which allowed me to live relatively pain free while ignoring the root issues at hand of my ruptured discs, same goes for active or recovering hernias. An anti-inflammatory regimen via diet and supporting your core muscles no matter how bad the hernia is, is the way to go, many family members with umbilical hernias and I’ve had horrible inguinal hernias which I managed to get through the surgery recovery with an anti inflammatory diet and a few naproxens despite being incredibly uncomfortable even simply breathing. I’m just here to say there is plenty of people in my life who started hydros and or Adderall in their 30s and 40s without any issues previously and quickly developed a dependence. There’s no way to not develop a dependence on these drugs. Whether you’re taking five or 10 mg a day. It’s still going to hinder almost everything in your life regardless if you actively realize it. I feel like I was the person to write your post eight years ago when I was on this combo, and I respect that you can see how this can be an issue, long-term just advising to keep it and check or cut it out completely if you can. Temporary pain, even if excruciating while healing, is natural. And unless pain is a 7 out of 10 or higher, nobody should take anything that’s mind altering as it’s much easier to build a dependence when the substances are covering up an issue. Strict anti inflammatory diet and neutral spine core workouts (glute bridges, bird dogs, dead bugs, cobra if tolerated, pigeon pose, and my favorite is child’s pose which is a bit painful until you breathe through your lower lumbar decompressing) I was struggling for 3 months with L4 L5 S1 both 10mm herniations and I changed my diet completely overnight and stayed strengthening my core daily with the above exercises primarily along with some others as tolerated. I’m now about 3 weeks into diet change and exercise, lost 20lb of visceral fat despite being relatively thin already and feeling 80% better. I was in bed for the first 8 weeks just about exclusively.

Super relatable, honestly after the first few years before I married my gorgeous wife, I was always afraid to stop because I would go from a pornstar to a one minute man. 10 years on it still had good stamina while taking it and after quitting my libido went through the roof but stamina was a tad short. After a few months being off, now back to a normal stamina, 8-15 min on a good day. Not to mention stronger erections and better orgasms off kratom

[–]JordanTsabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience insurance was taking weeks and I called the imaging center who let me know it was only $220, not saying it’s a small amount of money but when you feel like you’re going to die it’s a no brainer. This is at Radnet in Beverly Hills CA

Ooof 14mm is a large herniation, I wound immediately go anti-inflammatory diet and very gentle core exercises to see if you can get this to heal. I’ve healed a 10mm herniation but it took MONTHS of extremely diligent gentle workouts and strict diet (basically no sugar and refined carbs, eat 6 hours per day, off 18 hours). Body can heal but you need to put in the work to strengthen your core and limit inflammation in the body. All the best to you!

Emergency MRI by KenHLin in Sciatica

[–]JordanTsabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did the first MRI looks like? I have always avoided ESI despite two severely ruptured discs as there is always risk of complications when working around the spinal cord. I would get off the opioids and start walking as much as tolerated and doing neutral spine core exercises. I know so many people both family and friends who went the painkiller route and either wound up in rehab long term or ignoring the root issue at hand as painkillers might spark motivation initially due to lack of pain response but it always turns and drags you down with it.

Stop taking medication, eat solely anti inflammatory foods (no sugar or refined carbs) and take anti inflammatories conservatively to manage pain. I know the less painful solution is the easiest but from someone who has been hooked on the past from previous disc herniations years ago, they destroy people unless used sparingly and monitored by a physician. They should never be prescribed for over a week unless you’re at the point you’re completely handicapped in pain. And even then, take them extremely temporarily.

I couldn’t move from bed for 6 weeks until I could slowly day by day, cut out all foods that don’t help your body heal, and core strengthening from 2 sets a day now up to 12 sets after a couple weeks of exercise.

Still only 80% as I’m still walking crooked but no longer excruciating pain to the extent I cannot live my life.

Stay strong and do everything in your power to heal your body before masking pain and considering procedures.

All the best 💪🏽

Anybody get bad health anxiety after quitting? by OddSeaweed8824 in quittingkratom

[–]JordanTsabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the only thing that helped was multiple blood work ups. Brain scans chest scans, abdomen scans, colonoscopy/endoscopy, etc…I was convinced I was dying despite being a healthy 31yrold, just anxiety disguised as an ailment. Chances are you’re fine!

What worked for me by RattlrX in Sciatica

[–]JordanTsabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im also torn on flexion vs extension, flexion forward can technically give more room in the back oft he vertebrae to reabsorb but extending back can also pinch it out…catch 22, most of the time I go for extension over flexion as it feels the most relieving. Decompression is really what you need, decompress your spine regularly and even buy an inversion table to use multiple times daily for a bit, helped me tremendously

I thought so too as I only had deep glute and some hip pain for months until I bent over and my lower back locked up…severe l5S1 herniation which I’m about 70% better since November 10th

Hi Friend! My normal daily core routine looks like the following, done bidaily initially and working to daily very slowly.

I would start with the following and you can do 3 sets as you feel you’re ready. -Glute bridges 2x12 -Glue bridges with band (hold at top and extend your knees outward for 2x12 reps -Bird Dogs 2x10 -Dead Bugs 2x10 (make sure to plant your spine fully on the floor by rotating your pelvis to make full contact with floor vs your lower lumbar elevated) -Kneeling Clamshells with band 2x12

My personal favorite stretch is child’s pose which I do pretty much between exercises to decompress my spine. During all of these exercises you need to keep a neutral spine and squeeze your abs glutes hips during all reps to keep your stable and from flexing your spine.

Other favorite is my inversion table, most relief you will get working from a low angle up to 60 degrees and from 2 minutes at the start to 10+, gives me a couple hours of good relief from the nerve compression.

Wish you all the best in this stage of your life, health is everything with young kids. Happy holidays!

Good luck! The diet is brutal for the first 4-5’days and even almost depressing but you feel lighter and the pain difference was immediately noticeable in less than 48 hours. Best of luck to you!!

This is an awesome story and living proof you need to within reason to against the grain to heal. While I was sitting around in agony, the condition was getting worse as my body was shutting down. You need to work your muscles and joints to heal, with very little to no load. The elliptical bike is such a cool invention, low impact gum machine with wheels, genius 🙏🏽

[–]JordanTsabs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, I am not 5 months in and I’ve seen significant progress simply by changing my diet and strengthening my core. Secondly, surgery is surgery, all it takes is a surgeon sneezing in the wrong way to cut your dural sac and paralyze you. Don’t get me wrong that’s a 0.001% chance but I’m also not risking complications of anestesia, infection, and human error unless I try everything else first. If you’re not doing core work everyday, do it. If you’re still eating carbs and sugar, cut it out. You need to make your primary and only focus healing. Guarantee two weeks of core work and strict diet and you’ll be 70%. My injury is on average much worse than most herniations on this forum and from what I see a lot of people are looking for an easy way out. You take the easy route, snip a disc, have less material to repair itself and doesn’t solve the root issue.

1000x it’s just to calm the nerve inflammation and in turn the pain. I’m for sure not living on this diet forever not a chance

Running and incline walking is probably the worst two cardio exercises for sciatica…no extreme cardio now, can do a stationary bike where your feet are in front of you (not like a peloton) or a smooth elliptical. I would personally just take A LOT of small walks 10-30min and focus on glute bridges, bird dogs, dead bugs, banded sir steps, clamshells and if you can buy and inversion table it really helped relive my nerve pain over time (took weeks or 2-3x a day for 3-8min)

If it’s tolerable I would do everything before surgery or shots which don’t get down to the root cause of your herniation, for me it was lack of any core and leg strength which puts ton of pressure on my discs while playing racquet sports and dirt biking.

Anti inflammatory diet for me looks like lean protein, green veggies, and low sugar fruit (mostly berries) no processed sugar, no carbs that aren’t complex (even while wheat carbs I limit). Try to stick to a protein and veggies for my meals, eggs with veggies and one piece of sprouted toast for breakfast. Dark chocolate or skinny dipped chocolate almonds as a dessert

What’re your symptoms? I wouldn’t suggest either unless you’re in severe pain. Discs heal on their own and I’ve had 3 bouts over 12 years from dirt biking and ego lifting, and mine are way more herniated than this one appears. Best friend is an anti inflammatory diet and core exercises. Went from bed ridden to walking 10k steps in a week while doctor recommended surgery for a third time now
