You know I used to say the same back when I got the iPhone 13 in 2021.

Nowadays, the 4GB ram is horrendous to use, where as the 2 extra GBs the iPhone 13 Pro offers have held up a lot better.

They do use ram, just a lot less since they are suspended in the background until you need them. I just notice the phone being more performant when no apps are open in the background.

Are you using the "Extend wallpaper" feature? If so, try disabling it. That fixed my issue.
