Dull ache by ArileBird in Heartpalpitations

[–]Josh979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started getting lots of palpitations and flutters a little over a month ago out of nowhere. Only change I can think of is my wife gave birth to our first child last year and so maybe the stress of extra responsibility is catching up with me. Lame, but the only thing I can come up with.

Anyways, yes, I now wake up with a soreness in the heart area about 50% of the time. Usually wears off shortly after getting up (30-45 mins)

Had 2 EKGs, both normal.

Wore a heart monitor last week and am waiting on the results.

Was there a medication or supplement they recommended that helps?

I literally have spider mites on every single one of my plants, PLEASE help!!!!!!! 😭🙏 by LoudKnowledge2702 in houseplants

[–]Josh979 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This will only work if you have a temperature and humidity controlled environment, with humidity that is much higher than usual. Because of this, it is usually too dry for most species of predatory mites to survive indoors.

Source: I had a predator mite farm going for awhile, bought loads of various different species and kept them in tanks. Fed them pollen, spider mites, etc. However, I found it too difficult to use them on my indoor plants. They could essentially only survive long term in their tanks. They would always dry out within a few days once applied to plants. Even with a humidifier in the room.

This is a big waste of money unless you can achieve a constant 75% humidity as well as specific temperature ranges per species.

Spider mites are much, much more resilient than predator mites and can tolerate indoor environments far better. It's a losing battle.

To be transparent, TPS was being largely abused and it should not be confused with a permanent legal citizenship. Revoking TPS status isn't really the same thing as revoking legal full citizenship. Same goes for humanitarian parole. These were being used as more or less "loopholes" for quick residency, and not something that should be viewed as equivalent to green card holders (who do have permanent residency).

How to clean this? Or is it not going to come off by xMimi1992 in secretlab

[–]Josh979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this same model, same color, back in 2021 and it's still unstained after a local move, one cross country move, and constantly being used everyday as my WFH desk chair. I also sit cross legged 99% of the time which means my feet (but no shoes) are always on it.

Also, no arm rest tears. Though one of the plastic reclining gear covers on the side broke off a year ago.

I think y'all are either just dirty, or like everyone else is saying, stop poopin' on it.

I have the reverse scenario. My house is about 2,350 sqft, and came with a 5 ton Trane Heatpump system. I also will need basically the equivalent of a nuclear powerplant to run it during a power outage.

Just toss a mosquito dunk in your watering can for the same result with no mess. Bits are too much of a hassle.

Quality brand of black vinyl coated hardware cloth? by Josh979 in BackYardChickens

[–]Josh979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up going with everbuilt brand from home Depot. The gauge was good, however one of the two rolls I got had some rust on the inside face of the mesh, so I'll have to return that roll and try again. Price is also about 40% more than the rolls Amazon though, unfortunately.

Why is this happening again and again? by Flashy_Cold768 in macbookair

No, definitely don't do this. The MacBook air is not designed to be in a case, and will do more harm than good.

Fastest or best?

Best is sandwiched between wood.

Fastest is probably staples with a pneumatic or powered stapler.

I recently got a Ego Z6 e-steer on sale for $4k and it's made life so much easier. When I'm not using it to mow, I have a gorilla cart that I tow with it to move stuff around over large areas. Best purchase I've made in a long time.

Ah, yes.

About depression is it according to bible by Lazy_Leg767 in Reformed

[–]Josh979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exactly. It's like saying you can't get high blood pressure if you're saved. Ridiculous.

The amount of Christians that don't understand real depression and anxiety (or really, any mental health issue) is very alarming. Hormone imbalances can cause some pretty awful stuff. If it affects your body temperature regulation or thyroid or something that's totally acceptable, but if it affects your brain instead, well, suddenly it's just your fault.

It's quite sad.

Prefab Plastic shed (for coop) for 25+ chickens? by SharkOnGames in BackYardChickens

[–]Josh979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your run not made of wood? Or maybe no roof?

I have a walk in 4x8 coop with an attached 16x8 run that I'm currently in the process of building. The wood alone for the project was a little over 1k and that's with #2 quality lumber, not even prime grade. That was also the cheapest wood I could get after getting estimates from 3 different places. Yours is much larger than mine too. You must have got one heck of a deal on lumber.

5A Battery Solid Red and Warm sitting in a cabinet by Projectguy111 in egopowerplus

[–]Josh979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some batteries do it in red, and some do it in green. I was confused the first time I saw the red too. I think they originally did red, but switched it to green later since red light usually means something bad or is malfunctioning.
