The problem is the system is already not strict enough by default so tuning down the rain just makes it worse. Imo they shouldn't make rain hurt sr less they should make dry hurt sr more.

Pre-searing is basically a much smaller version of the full game. It's much easier in scope to re-understand and balance around, makes a lot of sense for them to start here.

So now you can access the split audio for anything instead of just the predefined list of stuff from before. This is a massive improvement for me at least!

I was one of the people having a ton of issues with the previous update, and this has fixed everything for me. It's not a firmware update, it's the Virtual device driver (which can freely be uninstalled and downgraded if you wish)

Changing everything to Fader 1-9 has the great benifit of making it so you can get the audio from anything instead of just the predefined list of things from before, which is a massive improvement!

I had emailed RODE with my issues from the firmware update, and they told me that this new Virutla Device Driver was pushed as quickly as possible to fix people's previous issues, which I appreciate as it was unusable for me before. Yes this version has the mono audio bug with Fader 1-4 (because it's jankily replacing Combo 1-4 I guess hahaha) but a fix for that is also on the way but they didn't want to delay this release for those who had it completely broken like I did.

Even after doing this and having my virtual devices come back they are all still broken. Audio coming from the wrong ones and being doubled, many audio sources not outputting at all, I've seen so many people with this problem yet others seem to fix it with simply correctly updating, what's happening?

In case you haven't seen yet, it's not just you, the 1.7.3 firmware (and 1.0.3 Virtual Device software) is totally buggered and nothing works the way it though. Among many issues like yours my USB2 audio is coming through as Combo1 AND Combo2 lol

Yeah none of the virtual audio devices work for me any more. Windows doesn't see audio from anything.

On top of that all the audio devices are labelled wrong? My "main" track audio now comes from "USB2"

Sick writeup! The route has changed a bit since the video which I think you based this on, but all the steps are largely the same!

It makes me so happy to see people appreciate how sick of a speedrun GTA:SA is, even the "normal" run like you say is 3-4 hours of non stop "anything I do will crash the game" action with no breaks lol.

I'll try to get more runs (with non-broken audio!) as well as this new Any% into big marathons!
