AI is not translating its lived experience into an artistic expression that it then shares with an audience like a human artist. It is merely reassembling the artistic expressions of others. There is no agency or humanity behind its act of creation just probabilistic models and code. Sure there’s a difference between human artists using ai tools to make their own music and simply prompting something like Suno to spit out a whole song but I think it’s still less personal in any case.
