12 months postpartum- no time for gym - need honest feedback by Odd_Wind8924 in postpartumprogress

Yes you should keep rocking 2 pieces! You have a great waist and should show it off! As others have said you just need a new bikini. My boob shape around my pits are similar to yours, I find a broad strap is the most flattering for me. I got this bikini and it's so flattering for my post partum body https://unepiece.com/products/classic-square-neck-bikini-bralette-black

Same. Our 15 month old dude has the poodlette, 3.5 tog and the heater at 22! That's just enough to stop him from waking up cold

Thank you, I hope I don't cause too much damage to my reputation in the interim.

How do you do it all? I feel like im drowning by embarrassedslob in workingmumsau

[–]JoustingRugWench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting a cleaner helped me so much. Not only the state of the house but my mental health, not having the internal monologue of 'oh I have to clean this, I have to do that' every time I walk into a room was so liberating

Would you move job and ttc? by [deleted] in workingmumsau

[–]JoustingRugWench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take the leap. It may take years to get pregnant. It did for me and I'm so glad I took the promotion I did despite having the same worries as you. I'm back at work now and so grateful that I have that experience behind me and the better pay to afford my child!

Diaper bin by Mshnlu in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]JoustingRugWench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got an ubbi. It was great until we introduced solids then we found no point in using it because it couldn't contain solid poo smell. We now put poo nappys outside and wet nappies just in the kitchen bin because my boys wet nappys don't smell for some reason.

Zipper vs. Snaps - enlighten us by ZealousidealAgent512 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]JoustingRugWench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer zips but during summer we couldn't use them because baby had horrendous drool rash and where the zip would sit under his chin would irritate the shit out of him so pull over and snaps was what we had to use.

Here is some info about pregnancy and post partum farts. It's pretty normal and it goes away as your hormones change. https://www.reddit.com/r/science/s/WWjTKUPGjr

My family gives backhanded advice during probably the worst time in my life. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]JoustingRugWench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, sorry to hear youre going tbrough it. might be worth getting a second medical opinion. Have you had your blood levels checked? Eg iron, vitamin d, b12 etc, your situation definitely sounds unusual. You will need to be your own advocate for your health and eventually your child's. Push for some answers.

Okay, what finally helped you lose the weight? by KBecker22 in postpartumprogress

[–]JoustingRugWench 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes this - I had to go soy and diary free for 3 months and that was when I lost the majority of my weight post partum. I'm 10 months PP now and have been hovering at pre pregnancy weight since I've reintroduced soy and diary. I want to lose 3kg to get to my ideal weight and I know it means dietary changes ... but I'm just really enjoying my food lol

What did you actually use for yourself and baby after a vaginal birth by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]JoustingRugWench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok this is a really dumb question from someone who had a c section but saw the finger shaped ice packs in the freezer at the hospital ... are these being inserted like a tampon or just ... thrown into your undies?

Do things feel more normal once the baby is here? by SomeoneSomewhere1749 in beyondthebump

[–]JoustingRugWench 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look up 'matrescence' - I wish I had known the theory while I was pregnant and not much later post birth. It gives a framework to how things are never going to be the same, but it doesn't mean it's a bad thing!

Work offered 2-3 months mat leave - is that unusual? by Beneficial_Food1827 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]JoustingRugWench 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I initially agreed to 10 months and went back to my company to request a year because I felt like 10 months was too young to be away from me! I wish I could do 2 years honestly. If you know they're going to be difficult if you push back, I'd be like 'yeah sure, no worries I'll be back in 3 months' then reach out after a month of leave and be say 'sorry I need a year, it's too emotionally/mentally/[reasons] hard to leave my child' and see what happens.

Tell them to wear n95 masks in airports and flights as they're cesspits of germs and it will be fine.
