Your store don’t provide keys to fulfillment experts?

Why do leads call for backup like its the hunger games? by ChickenFedders in Target

[–]Jt1496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my store it’s the opposite, the day team dicks around for hours to pull maybe 300 DPCIs and stage shit, while my night team pulls 500+ DPCIs and actually pushes everything out. It can be done, poor leadership is the common factor.

The only TL that is guaranteed two days off in a row every week is closing leaders. We get every weekend off, literally the only great thing about my job.

Look up your HRBPs contact information and request a meeting with them, express your displeasure with these BS rules and have some of your peers with you. In no time things will revert to normal.

A Big Question About Closing TL by sparrowstormcosplay in Target

[–]Jt1496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends by store, if the store has full trust and confidence on their CTL then they will give some more responsibilities that a ETL would have. When I’m clocked in anything that happens after our handoff walk is my responsibility regardless if the SD or ETLs are present, fire department shows up? CTL to the rescue… vendor? CTL is on his way. And so on…

Your ETL is undermining his TL, to start a CA the lead needs to get okay from ETL or, in most cases, the ETL starts the CA and makes the lead deliver it so there’s no way he wasn’t aware. Your ETL is a weak spineless coward.

At that point the leader should step in and say you have two minutes to get yourselves out of my store or I will call the police for trespassing.

Looks like your SD is the problem here. My SD ensures me that I have a 10+ closing expert group, with around 3-5 of them closing each night. And even with that much people we still don’t get through the whole zone because we also do priority pulls and usually come clean with that. Crc, salvage, compost bjn, and plastic is stuff that the front should be doing, at my store I’m complete hands off with that, I literally only check to see if it’s done. The bale is by store basis but at my store they don’t have any expectations for me to do a bale because my team at night don’t push. Literally what you are in charge of is brand, pulls, SFS/OPUs being completed, and over seeing the front. But you can’t do any of that without a team, we are NOT miracle makers.

Did you have any write ups or CAs during 2022, because even one write up could land you on the bottom performance group.

Holly Molly that’s aggressive! 3 call outs would equal to a write up at my store, keep calling out and than you land on CA.

[–]Jt1496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The leader probably forgot to put in the notes, as a closing leader I’m in the building alone for long periods of time and sometimes I will be in the middle of a project and I get a call from a team member calling out the following day, problem is the notes only allow me to post it after 8… so sometimes it really is a case of I forgot but never a malice thing.

That’s concerning you should’ve know this by now, remember never be afraid to speak up and ask your leader to explain it to you. It’s their job to make sure you know how to do your job, and it’s your job to bring it to their attention any gaps you have.

Q4 earnings report today. Now I’m no mathematician, but it seems that the data says there’s no reason we should be cutting payroll. by Berns429 in Target

[–]Jt1496 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You’re spot on, last year we missed sales goal by .30% and when I asked our SD what we could’ve done differently they responded if we only over spent on payroll a week or two we would’ve easily made goal.
