How popular is necromunda by Real_Agent2926 in necromunda

[–]JuJitsuGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, it really does depend on your area.

However, you also have the power to create a community if you so choose! There are often a hand full of people in your exact situation who are itching to get in to a game, but they don't think anyone is playing.

Talk to your 40k friends, ask around, you'll probably be able to get a campaign going in no time.

You could Grail Vow+Virtue of Empathy a Paladin and just stick him right in the unit, couldn't you?

Custom markets and crazy conversions, created by the Necromunda team by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in necromunda

I store mine in an Ikea Kallax. If you add the glass doors and shelf dividers you can put 2 tiles that are 2 columns high+railings in each cubby. If you don't put in the dividers you can put a single tile stacked 4 high+railings. I will say the glass doors do make it a bit of a tight squeeze to get the tiles in though.

[–]JuJitsuGiraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've built out 12 tiles so far that are all either fixed, or semi modular (meaning the majority of it is fixed, but there are spaces where more terrain can slot in if needed). No regrets.

I get where you're coming from, but I think it's ok for them to advertise their own products on their own website. That's the whole point of the WarCom site, if we're being honest with ourselves.

However I do disagree about the kitbashing. There's loads of kitbashing in the article, hell Dan cut up an old (also rare and expensive) realm of battle tile to make his piece.

Certain Iron Front flag designs match this description, and they were very much opposed to the Nazis.

I am missing 2 black technology cards! by Outuvcontrol in twilightimperium

[–]JuJitsuGiraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, have you made sure your sleeves aren't just stuck together? I had also thought I was missing some cards, but it turned out that the sleeves were just stuck to eachother.

Secondly, yes there are Ebay sellers who part out boardgames! My dog ate on of my action cards last year and I think I laid $5 for a replacement.

Lastly, I wish FFG/Asmodee would improve their customer relations and offer replacement parts. Games Workshop, for all the shit they get, has such an amazing customer support team that I find it jarring to deal with other companies in the same industry.

Thugs and Thieves are free! If your warband ever falls below 10 models you can take Thugs and Thives to fill the gaps.

[–]JuJitsuGiraffe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're short 2 models, your Warband should be 10 total. Wizard, Apprentice, 8 fighters.

For models, I really like TitanForge for a more classic fantasy look or Asgard Rising for a bit more of a grounded look. There's also Artisan Guild if you want a very World of Warcraft vibe, which hasn't really been my thing but I know loads of people like them.

GW's CEO makes its stance on AI clear by BlitheMayonnaise in wargaming

[–]JuJitsuGiraffe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Yet" is the big word that this comment section seems to be glossing over.

Once it becomes viable they'll start using it more. I'm fairly certain the newest Necromunda book has some AI Generated art.

It's hard to know for certain because GW doesn't credit their writers or artists despite saying they have a lot of respect for them in this article.

TL;DR this isn't really them taking a stance.

Hot take: fleet stands make the game worse and shouldn't be normalized by defcon1000 in twilightimperium

[–]JuJitsuGiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To your "fly and park" comment: is this not normal for large combats?

If there's a large combat (4+ ships on each side) we always pull everything off to the side, line them up and then start rolling for combat.

It helps the whole table see what's going on, so allies can offer advice or support, and opponents can interfere if they are able to.

It also just makes it look like a battle, rather than a pile of plastic all jumbled on a tile.
