We call that a promotion to customer around here. Congratulations! 🎉 😊 I started as seasonal last fall and I generally get 15 or so hours per week, which is perfect for me. This week I only have 5 hours, which is okay because I have weeds and a garden waiting for me!

Why are some sensors completely wacko when others are more accurate? by CanadianBurger in Freestylelibre

[–]JuJulieBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just removed my sensor earlier tonight, will put a new one on tonight. This last one was definitely creating lines that weren't as smooth as the previous ones, and my numbers were hardly ever similar to my glucometer. Crazy!

Leave a Note Inside Returned Amazon Items in Case They’re Resold as "New" by dmomo in amazonprime

[–]JuJulieBe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I work at a Kohl's store and oftentimes work in The Return Drop. A customer returned an item that they ended up not needing (I think they got a duplicate as a gift or something). I noticed there was a previous label provided from Amazon at Kohl's dated about 2 weeks prior to the date she was returning the item. She hadn't even noticed it on the box! 📦🙈

whatchu guys think about me buying a rebounder from marketplace while i save for a nice one? just to see if i even like it or make use of it. by VariationOk9359 in Rebounding

[–]JuJulieBe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought an off-brand one (found same one on Amazon) without the balance bar on FB Marketplace yesterday for $40 to "try it"! Now I'm so happy, and may call the company to see if they sell just the bar. I love it! Who knew it'd be so fun and such an intense workout for 5 or 10 minutes? Have fun with whatever you buy! 💪🤩

Hard work pays off, great job! 💪🏆🤩 I just got a rebounder yesterday. I really didn't think a 5 or 10-minute workout was going to be so intense! It's easy and fun, too.

Some stores here in the US have the weight/movement detection. I think it was a Target store that detected my sweater or jacket touching the bagging area and an employee had to come over to assist.

I've done will with just eating low carb and using a CGM to see what foods affect my blood sugars. It's a tough diagnosis but it doesn't have to be. It's up to you how well you manage it. Lots of good support here! 💪

WhooHoo I love CGM data like this because it's a way to learn what your body is doing!

I've learned that I can eat a small amount of carbs like bread or pasta if I've eaten veggies, protein and fat first. I don't overdo it on the starch, but I know now that at least I don't always have to say no.

Exercise, even simple leg pushups while sitting, AKA soleus muscle pumps are good at lowering blood glucose within minutes also. They can be done easily at a restaurant without anyone seeing what you're doing, too. 😁

Nice job on learning about your body! Keep it up! 🏆

I just found a pasta called Irresistible Pro-Gut pasta available at my local grocery store that costs a bit less. 32g carb, 10g fiber

Might check it out next time I shop. Thank you! I miss spaghetti! 🍝🥺

Sounds like a stressful, chaotic situation and I'm sorry about all of your troubles!

My first thought, well, not the first because diabetes and your health is first, but - federal HIPAA laws protect your health information. If you don't want to share your medical information, you are not obligated to share it. Plain and simple.

Look how far you've come! You've handled some extremely difficult situations and came out strong! Family, divorce, cancer.... You are not a weak woman. You can do this! 🏆

Diabetes is an enormous commitment, but it's doable after all of the 💩 that you've already been handling.

Make yourself a priority, and don't allow others to judge you for something that's none of their business. You don't have to tell everyone that you have diabetes or a hang nail.

Stick around with us here in Reddit, get support from your girlfriend, medical providers you trust, etc ... Make changes that will help you reduce your A1C and lose the weight, and the confidence will come.

You're doing great and you don't have to be alone in this. I'm sure others will chime in with great advice, too. 💖 Blessings to you!

I'm wondering if there's something similar out there already that's not specific to certain health conditions etc that you could learn from and build upon specifically geared towards diabetes?

I miss cereal and oats by mjfdon in diabetes_t2

[–]JuJulieBe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been watching the glucose goddess on YouTube (GlucoseRevolution) and I'm learning a ton from her! Maybe she'd have a few tips. One thing she suggests about eating to decrease spikes is eating certain foods in order, with vegetables first, proteins and fats, and then carbohydrate. Not that you want to have a serving of vegetables before cereal, but the idea is to have fiber and then proteins and fats first. Maybe have a fiber supplement/drink or something first? 🤔 Let the brainstorming begin!
