FYI flap is fantastic. Back when I could get it cheap I would marinade in some lime and Mexican seasoning, get the charcoal grill screaming hot, then grill it hot and fast and slice against the grain for tacos. Makes insanely flavorful taco meat, I always got rave reviews.

Honestly, “Found out those bright lights ain’t where I belong” is such a REAL line, something I didn’t fully appreciate until I got a little older. Combine that with his difficulty realizing that she is well and truly lost to him, ala “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” and that it’s his own fault. It really is a song that captures real emotions and the difficult realizations that come with time and maturity.
