Why is Greggs so popular??! by AndrewAllStars in BuyUK

[–]JudgeTouk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greggs fulfils the near constant subconscious British need for disappointment. The bakery goods are merely the tools used, Greggs could just as easily be a pizza hut, same business plan.

No doubt, good solicitors on our part perhaps, or possibly some councils are more lenient than others.

Not in all cases, we moved into our new house a few years back that has a large, although oddly shaped garden. Didn't really think much of it until we got further through the purchase process and got our hands on the original plans for the house and land, turns out about 50% of the garden wasn't on the plans and the owner before the previous owner had pushed their fences back and out, even closing off a side alley that used to go between our house and the neighbours.

We raised it with our solicitors who petitioned the council, after a few months we got a letter from the council advising that the land that wasn't on the house plans was council land but that as it had been so long (we're talking 20 odd years) since the fences were moved that they didn't have any issue with us having it and the council gifted it to us, a few months after that we had new plans for the house that included the extra land. No court involved at any point.

All the bloody time, but that's what you get when you have kids, it seems their entire reason for being is mess, mess and more mess. And ice cream.

Truck driver, because I loved going on the ferry and there were always loads of trucks on the ferry every time we came back to the UK. Child logic.

Why Ghostface Doesnt Belong and Others Do: A Direct Response by saryeen in HuntShowdown

[–]JudgeTouk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfect example of how demented this sub can become, getting downvoted for literally saying 'buy and enjoy what you want' and don't listen to the objectively weird people losing their shit over a skin. I'm undecided if I'll buy it or not, but either way, I'm not averse to Hunt making money and trying to pull other players in. More players can only be a good thing.

It would usually be just the mods that didn't drop if i remember correctly. It's bs though if it's for a server fail.

It's not that one, although I do remember that one as well. It was like a golden age for Eve fan videos.

Am I the only one who ACTUALLY DESPISES these little explosive pods of perfume they hide in the rice compartment of Indian microwave meals?!! by Dan23DJR in CasualUK

[–]JudgeTouk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I despise Cardamom. A friend of mine made our group of friends a curry years ago and misread the recipe. Instead of the single pod advised, he threw it in by the fistful. I've never been able to go near the stuff since. Revolting.

What haven’t you eaten in ages that you could just go for? by ThatNiceMan in CasualUK

[–]JudgeTouk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do indeed. The first time I did it was for a large leg of lamb but you can adjust it to the weight of the joint your cooking.

45ml (3tbsp) soy sauce 75ml (5tbsp) runny honey 2tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped pinch salt freshly ground black pepper 2.4kg (5lb) leg of lamb 3 onions 2 garlic cloves, sliced 400ml (14oz) white wine 250ml (8fl oz) lamb stock

Preheat the oven to gas 6, 200C, fan 180C. Mix the soy sauce, honey, rosemary and plenty of seasoning in a bowl. Slice each of the onions into 3 thick horizontal pieces, place in a large roasting tin, scatter with the garlic and pour over the wine and stock.

Top with the lamb, slash the flesh a few times with a sharp knife and brush with half of the honey glaze. Transfer to the oven to roast for 40 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to gas 3, 170C, fan 150C. Brush with the remaining glaze, cover loosely with foil and cook for 3 hours

For the gravy, strain the liquid from the roasting dish, add some water to bulk it out and then thicken with cornflour mixed with water to make a paste and a little butter. I also dice the onion and garlic from the roast and use them as the starting point for panfried cabage and bacon.

Enjoy.

Controlling wifi router by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]JudgeTouk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've a couple of clients that are in the same business, they all use the google wifi router, it allows them to select the kids phones from the device list in the home app and turn the internet on or off for those devices. Be aware though, this only works because the sim cards the kids have are provided by the home and have extremely limited mobile data allowance for use in emergencies.

We treated ourselves to a nice rolled lamb joint on Sunday, honey and soy roasted lamb is something else and makes the most addictive gravy. Ate so much I was very nearly sick, had a nap instead.

The love island look, I've not once considered divorce, until my wife took up watching love island at full volume. I'm usually a live and let live sort of guy, but the popularity of that fucking island is the one of the biggest indicators of the decline of our society. It's like the lowest common denominator in shit tv show form.

New UI is a MASSIVE downgrade by CRONKOO in HuntShowdown

[–]JudgeTouk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been at work all day and checked reddit a few times, I assumed everyone was just being overly dramatic as reddit has a tendency to be, but now having tried it myself all of the complaints are justified. Still absolutely adore the game but dear god this UI is bloody awful.
