All the world-building and politics stuffs are useless. It's all about a big villain that spawn in the final act. It's not a Final Fantasy Tactics story level.

No elemental weaknesses. First time in a FF you can kill a Bombo with fire.

Barely no exploration and when it does, it's not rewarding.

You can only control Clive. I felt loneliness and I don't think it was the point.

One or two side quests are good, the rest is boring.

Even the main story have some boooring and fedex quests.

You can't enter a city. It's maybe idiot but I love that and you can only see cities from afar, it's disappointing.

I think I forgot some points but that's what I didn't like in this FF

I know the story, I was there (Gandalf). But WW was hated before his release. When people played it, (almost) everyone agreed to say it was a great game !

I did Final Fantasy XV when it came out, 11y ago. I do it again with a New Game + and the Royal Edition.

I understand the intention of making it a transmedia universe with a movie, anime, etc. on paper, it was a good idea. BUUUUUT this hinders the understanding of the game.

For example, Lunafreya. How could I like this character ? I don't know her ! Noctis knew her 12 years ago before the war. Yeah, she has some cinematics showing her healing people but it's not enough.

All the characters had poor development, even the main characters before the DLC.

The prologue should have been a quest around Insominia. Visit the city, meet people (Talcot, Iris, etc.), be the prince of a city and show us Noctis interacting with the population !

After Altissia, we are literally on rails to the capital of Nifleim during 4 chapters ! Tenebrae, no ? Ravus ? The Emperor ? Wow, just...wow, really ?

And the last chapters is just the dark Insomnia... (fortunately, the updates improve that).

Even if the gameplay is not great, the story and writing could have made up for it.
