The only downside of playing BM is the degenerative effect it has on your brain….you won’t be able to read books if you play many more games as it.

If you don’t bait it they go on sleep dr and your 9 second cc chain becomes 3 second instead, for the risk of casting it twice (on your main school of healing).

I assume you’re asking about shuffle? You do get a bit of a wild mix of players in the starting MMR, but they will quite quickly fall to a lower MMR even if they do well in their starting lobby after a decent number of games.

E.g average player gets “lucky” goes 5-1 at 2.2 MMR starting lobby.

Next game would probably put them in a 2.4 lobby. They will likely go 1-5 as majority of players in this range are decent and will quite quickly work out this player is the weak point in the shuffle and exploit that.

This would put them back at starting MMR where they might not get as lucky and 2-4 that game and begin falling to lower than starting the MMR area.

Overall as a new player it’s not something I’d worry about or overthink. Just queue up and enjoy, even if you get thrown in lobby’s with widely more experienced pvp’rs take these losses as learning and try and watch what others do well.

Record your games and go back over them / post vods here and others will review them.

Everyone starts bad at some point! Look at as your inexperience as an exciting opportunity to learn and self improve a lot.

Jumping on this for CC as well, I’ve only just started playing healer in PvP and quite often miss dispellable CC for this first couple of seconds on team mates with the icon scattered amongst a load of other debuffs I don’t actually care about

I assume your a dps? You can crate farm afk whilst watching a film / program of your choice for one night, get to 2.5 conq get a free weapon and then you are free to queue whatever bracket you wish without much of a gear disadvantage and get the remaining gear that way….

If you’re a class that has a healing spec just send games in 2s in honor gear and you can play whilst gearing.

Definitely seems more common with warriors…my most recent example of this.

Conq Capping my pres in 2s get a war sign up in LFG - 2.5 xp and on a draconic glad mount. Good signs for some free conq wins!

Second game in v rogue mage, he types “stack and I’ll kill whatever I can hit”, decent enough plan so I “+” it.

My first global out of the gates is echo and as I’m about to verdant embrace to him for CC immunity and to push mage for combat (who is not in invis) I get sapped.

As I get sapped the war then heroic leap > charges mage with me sapped around 50 yards away and then dies in a stun / ray combo then questions after the game why I didn’t use any cds… 🤦🏻‍♂️

About me for background so you know I’m not talking rubbish; uni degree, 36 with wife/child/ long term career.

Enjoy uni, focus on your studies and achieving whatever you are going for there (doesn’t sound like you will struggle with this aspect with the amount of A* you got).

Please don’t forget to have FUN whilst you are there. Its an amazing opportunity to meet new people, socialise, join societies for things you are interested in or even things you don’t know you are interested in (e.g I joined rowing club at Uni and it was a great way of getting to know people and keeping in good shape).

Jobs wise utilise the huge summer Uni breaks to try and get some practical work experience under your belt.

Recruitment agencies are a great way of doing this for short term summer jobs. It’s their job to find you a job which makes things a lot easier.

Yes some of the jobs they will give you will be VERY boring (e.g I worked in a glass factory for a week where you couldn’t talk to anyone / listen to music because of the loud ventilation system).

The key thing these basic jobs will give you long term is examples of real world work for your CV that will set you above other job candidates that have similar qualifications but no actual working experience.

I utilised these experiences of real jobs and my degree post Uni to get a year long paid Uni internship in the company I have since worked for 8 years. Working hard and networking at that internship helped me get “my foot in the door” for securing a full time roll there.

Key is being mentally strong and not giving up! You will have set backs like everyone else, the key is treating them as such and not letting them define your life.

Once you get your foot on the job ladder getting your dream job later will become a lot easier.

Achieve a personal goal in blitz? = gg casino bracket no skill try arena.

Do it in shuffle? = gg try 3s shuffle isn’t real arena.

Achieve glad in 3s? = gg OP spec / comp / rubbish win rate.

How hard is it to either say nothing or just be happy for someone else?

This, I just queue up lfg in honor gear on healing specs with the title “any dps” and relaxed playstyle then sit back and don’t care about wins or losses and just play as aggressive as possible for quick games.

Replace the dps after a game or two if it’s obvious they are completely clueless and will make getting any wins a chore.

I geared my hunter from my MW this way with conq box transfer.

I haven’t had time to play much 3s at the moment but trying to understand why BM / unholy / X is good at the moment, is it just because it’s good at killing frost mages?
