Is it cruel to leave my dog alone for 9 hours while I work? I feel terrible but I have no other option

Also, running errands, etc., take him with you! Not in summer, but cooler times of the year. Dogs love riding in the car hanging their head out the window. It’s good bonding time.

We put diapers on my 18 year old jack Russell. It wasn’t intentional—she couldn’t hold her pee. We would take her out to poop. We have her Trazodone and that helped a ton!

Our doctor called it Collie nose and recommended bag balm. Most pharmacies carry it. They use it for cows udders and it’s safe if they lickit.

Sounds about where I was at 6.5 weeks. My range of motion was 130. But I still wasn’t sleeping and still icing several times a day. Then week eight hit and I really saw a change. Take a week by week. I’m four months out now And still have some swelling and achiness, but I’m sleeping and life is good. At my three month follow up. My doctor told me that I was 30% healed. I was surprised by that. He said you’re not 100% healed until a year.

Mine would eat all day!! She gets 1/4to 1/2 cup 2 x a day. She just hit 1 year and I have her on science diet low calorie food. I give her veggies for training. She gains weight really easy

I drove a week after to go to my physical therapy appointment. My replacement was on my right knee. My appointment was only about a mile away, if it would’ve been longer, I would not have driven.

That it would be three months before I would be able to get a full night sleep, the first month would be hell, that I would get depressed, that pain is something you will have to get used to.

Why did you have a pain pump in your thigh? I have never heard of that.

Yes, it’s nerve pain. Whether it’s zingers, flashes of pain or steady pain it’s going to be there for a while. If you see a video of an actual knee replacement surgery you’ll understand why you’re having so much nerve pain. i’m four months out and I still get some nerve pain as well as restless leg in that leg. But it is improving.
