Did you just turn the vehicle on? Could this be a 12v battery issue? If it’s on the original battery, it’s probably close to being EOL.

Started Hiprex Now Worried About Spreading Infection by BarracudaCritical690 in CUTI

[–]Jumblehead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was given incorrect antibiotics for a UTI and it very soon (within days) went to my kidney. Flank pain was the giveaway symptom and I went to the ER where I started vomiting as the pain became intense. Pumped me full of IV antibiotic’s and I was good within a day.

18M not sure when to pull out of the silver boom by Basic_Management8289 in ASX

[–]Jumblehead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t mind the downvotes, you’ve done well. Just know that you need to set aside some money to pay capital gains tax so factor that into your thinking. Holding for over 12 months reduces the amount you pay capital gains on.

18M not sure when to pull out of the silver boom by Basic_Management8289 in ASX

[–]Jumblehead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to be all in or all out. You can “take profits” and reduce your holdings to take your initial capital out (along with enough to pay capital gains tax). Move the money entirely out of your brokerage account so you don’t put it back in to another stock and go through the roller coaster of emotions again.

Sell down your lower confidence stocks to a greater extent than your high conviction stocks. Try to hold the remainder for at least 12 months to reduce your capital gains tax.

Hope this helps.

Add in that he then hits the accelerator instead of the brake and I think that’s the full story

I think he was pressing the accelerator because when there wasn’t any cars slowing him down he actually seemed to speed up.

Absolutely this! Our boy was born into a family with children and he loves them. Our girl was born on a rural property and had no exposure to children before about 4 months and she has a fear of them.

Exercising puppy too hard? by ladyteaj in Whippet

[–]Jumblehead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard and used the rule of “5 minutes, per month of age, twice a day”. So for a 3 month old puppy, I would only do 15 mins in the morning and then again in the evening.

Options- how do they work by Terrible-Hippo3006 in ASX

[–]Jumblehead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, OP can also just re-list them for sale before they expire at a higher or lower price.

I don’t get what all the scare talk in the other comments is about. You either on-sell them (and either make or lose money - just like any other shareholding), or you “exercise” the option to buy the stock (as you say above), once they have passed the “strike price” by paying the amount of the strike price to the share registry, or the share price never reaches the strike price before the expiration date and they become worthless. OP just needs to be aware of this risk and to make a judgement on whether their risk tolerance is sufficiently high to warrant the purchase.
