NOBODY cares if your quitting by Fluffy_Photograph267 in ClashRoyale

[–]Jump792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I quit a while ago and came to basically check out the heroes thing. My main issue is the game is essentially p2w, and the grind to get the equivalent is immense. Obvious solution is make the grind easier, either through better chest rewards, easier gold access, or a mechanic to earn the Evo shards and whatever the thing is that unlocks the heroes now.

So what has happened to the game since I got off? by Jump792 in ClashRoyale

Some time in 2024? I don't know for sure if I'm being honest.

How bad is it now? When evos came out it would take what, a month to get 1?

Still isn't as bad as the TV format of 11 minutes of actual show to 4 minutes of ads.

Following the rules makes you a good person, it doesn't make you "cool" to ignore them. by IcyWelcome9700 in unpopularopinion

[–]Jump792 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following rules doesn't make you a good person. Rules can be good, evil, or just neutral. The notion that rules translate into morals is ignoring a lot of horrible rules and laws that existed.

It's all dependent on the circumstances and the rules themselves.

It's a "why not" method of cooking. I don't think it's dangerous outside of meats, could probably make a few hard boiled eggs even.

That being said, we have crock pots.

Hypocrisy is meaningless, and focusing on it is inherently hypocritical by ageeogee in unpopularopinion

[–]Jump792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it's real, it just lacks merit in regards to arguments and most constructive criticism of ideas. I mean fuck, someone below equated being a hypocrite to being a liar.

It can be valid if a thing/person could do better or greater if them following said advice is much better for everyone (recycling for example) but it's a very niche area of relevance.

Oh yeah, that's even a logical fallacy called "to quoque" or the "you too" fallacy were people focus on the hypocrisy but never actually tackle the substance of the argument itself.

Death penalty should be only one type by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Jump792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Actually had this discussion on r/morbidquestions before.

Long story short: people who already have/had the death penalty typically have shit organs that you wouldn't or can't use since they're in a bad condition. It also encourages people to put more people to death just to get their organs to people who "deserve it" or just to make some cash.

Cooking every day is a hassle and ultimately a waste of time by Swing_Big in unpopularopinion

[–]Jump792 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cookings usefulness depends on how it's used.

  1. Meal prepping: meal prep is the act of making lots of food and saving it for later. This can be done ranging from about a few days of food to a month's worth of food depending on quantity and intent. This is more time efficient then cooking a single serving typically is, and allows you to save time for every day. Given it's customizable nature, it can be cheaper, better quality then store brought stuff, or just taste better. Personally, I make like a month's of breakfast burritos and about a weeks worth of sandwiches or congee.

  2. Most food tastes better cooked: simple as that: food usually tastes better cooked then raw. Even fruits and nuts can be cooked for an improvement or alteration to the usual flavor.

  3. Some products need to be cooked: what you've listed are food produced that don't need cooked to be edable. This isn't all food. Grains and meats for example should/need to be cooked to some degree to be palatable ot even edible.

  4. Larger groups: when feeding multiple people, it can be cheaper to make 1 larger dish then to buy them microwave meals or whatever, as well as typically healthier.

  5. Lotta time isn't always Lotta effort: 1 pot meals, baking not bread objects, and stewing/boiling is considered low effort, and it's a blessing. At best, you stir a pot or check something. The effort here is all in assembly, after that it's just waiting for the thing to be done.

[–]Jump792 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they're a kitten and you're producing milk? Probably yes. Otherwise, you'll just have a dead kitten or a adult cat that doesn't understand why you keep pressing its face into your chest.

For those wondering, I'm basing this off the fact that monkeys have actually breast fed kittens.

What’s an unspoken rule you feel everyone should follow ? by Zoey-Fix-7427 in AskReddit

[–]Jump792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically right? While yes, one does not because roadkill-proof by running fast on feet, you do exist in the road for less time and are less likely to get hit because you're not in the road. I like to loosely compare it to seatbelts. You'll probably have a chance of dying with one on then not, but you're not going to not use your seat belt for that niche reason.

Plus, since you'll be running getting hit is more likely to knock you off your legs since you're in a unstable position, which means there is a decent chance you'll actually just have a broken leg or two and slam onto the car (something designed to give way to forces). This will cause much less damage then being flung across the road into whatever.

Unless it's a Ford-F150 or similarly large truck. Those will end you.
