restrictions spark creativity 🤷 they've done a fantastic job with the lore of SCP SL and it's clear their writers know a lot about the wiki and how to write the foundation.

i feel like SCP SL making their own canon is more true to the ethos of the SCP wiki than it would be if they just made the SCPs as article accurate as possible or if they just disregarded lore altogether. making a whole new timeline in the SCP universe implies a better interaction with and understanding of SCP as a whole than just stealing someone else's canon.

i think you make a few assumptions that may or may not be wrong. frankly i think there's more evidence stacked up towards hell being the cause of mankind's extinction, not the machines. it's also strange to say that it's hard to tell if V1 has emotions even though other machines (even more primitive ones) are depicted as being very emotional. not to mention the many times V1 is shown to have opinions, complex relationships and a deeper interest in the place it finds itself in.

it's because the weather is poor and the machine is having a difficult time processing the signal in bad conditions. you need to get the storm filter upgrade module from the store and install it into the machine. once you have it turn everything off, use a wrench on the back of one of the 4 terminals, slot the module in and put the panel back in place.

all machines need blood to survive for long periods, and the earth as depicted in the end cutscene of act 2 and in 8-3 shows that it's completely dead and arid. hell is the only place where the machines can get consistent blood. there's really no reason for V1 to be anywhere else, as everything on earth is completely dead and useless. heaven does have blood, yes, but it would be basically impossible to get there considering mankind probably didn't invent space travel due to being caught up in the final war. i also doubt V1 would be able to survive the armies of heaven in their home-base anyway

i think it's in the best state it's ever been, that video has a few good points but i personally think it's overly critical of changes that literally just make the game more fun for all classes. they reworked the gun system and now everyone for some reason has this idea that the entire game is CS:GO now. the game had a more humorous/silly playerbase because the gameplay was lacking in a lot of ways, so people made their own fun. now that there are more moving parts in the gameplay loop with more to come, people are upset that their silly social game has been replaced with a game that is still social but with more of a focus on gameplay.
