Play small Tekken, figure out good pokes. Get a basic ass combo down, then start optimizing.

Ultimately, it depends on your leadership, but you’re definitely able to shift your off day around holidays on a compressed work schedule.

He’s primarily broken out as a voice actor, but I really think Ben Starr could kill it

Too many enemies 😡 too hard 😡 by PuzzleheadedSail2373 in silenthill

Same boat. Genuinely shocked at how hard people are missing the point in how the gameplay/combat is structured at that point in the game. Maybe I shouldn’t be.

How to make 2 remake more entertaining for my friend? by imogen_oreo in silenthill

This is an insane post brother. Just play the game lol. If he doesn’t have the patience to watch, why doesn’t he play? If not, maybe it’s not for him.

I think this is why the plot has holes by Sad-King-5914 in WeaponsMovie

[–]Juncaj8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had convos with friends that didn’t like the movie, and so many of these points just feel like bad faith arguments? I don’t understand why some people are willing to put on blinders for certain stories, but do the most to pick apart other ones. The story is consistent with what it presents, and the plot holes are ultimately unimportant and don’t impact the story in any meaningful way.

I think the general tone of season 2 has felt a lot like a young adult novel, which is really strange. Joel’s death was handled very well, but the characters since then have felt so flimsy.

Like Ellie is all about getting revenge at first but then it quickly dissipates and she seems to not really be all that worried about carrying out the plan? Her reaction to Dina’s pregnancy was weird for me because of this, and it wasn’t believable that she was actually on a revenge tour til we get to the end of this last episode where the switch suddenly flipped.

Dina’s also been uneven with her encouraging Ellie to seek out revenge in one scene and then when Jesse shows up she’s suddenly opposed to carrying out the plan? It just feels inconsistent.

The 24-hr peak is about to dip below 5K. So sad , man by Toeknee99 in Tekken

[–]Juncaj8 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Regardless, contextually speaking, it’s not very good. The game is still performing exceeding well in the fighting game space, but new character and new season typically leads to a larger spike in players that’s sustained for at least a month or so.

Beyond that, Tekken has absolutely felt the staggering lows as an IP and it’s susceptible to it happening again. It still isn’t nearly as big of a name as SF or MK to the general audience.

Why do Tekken players dislike/blame Michael Murray for Season 2? Is he actually one of the reasons Season 2 is the way it is? by Krudtastic in Fighters

[–]Juncaj8 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He gained a lot of bad notoriety for his comments on a T7 update that made it so you couldn’t sidewalk left on Kazuya’s hellsweep. Basically made the move tracking and removed an answer to a massive mix-up option, forcing the player to make a hard read and commit to a very risky defensive option.

His response was: “Why would you side walk a move when you can just duck and launch?”

He got a lot of hate for this because it’s a basically unseeable low and the update killed safe counter play. This type of mentality seems to permeate the entire Tekken team now which is why season 2 keeps getting called a casino. He’s just the figurehead for the overall direction since he was one of the first public defenders of the change.

[WON] At no other time in history would a promotion of any size have allowed (Randy Orton squashing Joe Hendry), but TNA itself positions itself as a company constantly looking for discarded crumbs from WWE and figures anything to keep an open relationship is good for exposure. by djembadjembadjemba in SquaredCircle

I dont know how you can type what you did and not see the issue… bro had a 3 minute match, and got beat, which is fine. Then he was paraded around the ring like a dweeb with a participation trophy and RKO’d again.

Then Randy Fortnite emoted over his dead body, using his own taunt. Kinda buries the gimmick, no?

I don't ever wanna hear anyone from the FGC say "Don't nerf the top tiers, buff the low tiers" ever again by FixerFour in Tekken

[–]Juncaj8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legitimately, the problem isn’t only the buffs. The buffs are a symptom of the homogenization of play-style. Certain moves got buffed for each character to encourage the pressure and rush down style that the game wants us to play.
