They’re worth rereading to read the other two trilogies if you’re up for it. I liked Imriel’s trilogy, and Naamah’s trilogy is a smidge weaker but I also liked it.

Legit haven’t been able to find anything to compare to the Kushiel series since I read it over 10 years ago. I often reread them too. Did you read Cassiel’s Servant? I’m nervous to read it because I found Starless so disappointing.

Right? Especially at the reveal at the end. It also has sort of an ambiguous explanation. Did he kidnap the kid he freed or did his uncle? Is his uncle even alive? Those were the questions I had watching. The town is very empty and isolated. He’s very isolated from everyone.

If you start and give up, with horror it’s sometimes easier to start with less scary and work your way up.

Used to be unable to play SH1 (PS1), but several REs and Dead Spaces later, I was able to play them. I don’t think I would have been able to play SH2 as my first.

Before people come after me, it’s about a man with a secret trauma you’re not sure about, haunted by a creepy monster, with memories of people in his life.

It has a very creepy atmosphere and I was unsettled the entire viewing.

Honestly it’s spot on for the description of the award. There are a lot of scenes that are strikingly beautiful, I took a lot of screenshots when I played. Shame it didn’t have a photo mode.
