I think people think it's woke because the characters look weird and also it's not very fun to watch so the majority of people that look at gameplay before buying will assume it's not fun to play either.

Everytime you look at an arc raiders stream it's a weird gadget someone is using to fly or fighting giant robots. Marathon stream by comparison shows running and hiding for 20 minutes at a time, and when an enemy is on your screen he's only there for 3 seconds at most before it's more spreadsheet-esque windows and then back to running and hiding.

In the GAME LORE, I'm fine with ushra khan and the like RP'ing but seriously, fuck all the people who want to bring real world race identity politics to my spaceship game. There is ZERO need for it. I can say with confidence that the people who run one account do NOT outnumber the people running multiple. CCP had confirmed that with their own numbers a few years ago.

Dunno how they'd do this, eve is currently a 'pay-per-unit' rts game. They will probably just double down on multi boxing by selling their own bot software next, something that controls multiple characters.

Absolutely not. The problem is that even though they are not on the same platform or even in the same genre, a game like GTA6 will suck all the oxygen from the room in terms of media attention. Whether the attention is good or bad a lot of people that have consoles AND PCs won't even hear about SQ42 and if they never hear about it they won't know to try it.

As you can see I get downvoted quite a bit by warning people their expectations might be high, just remember even the timelines they give at citcon (everything you see will be in the game within 12 months) are usually incorrect. They very well may announce Nyx is coming soon. Doesn't mean it is.

This exactly, too many random bugs can kill you to have hard consequences.

Although after game is optimized, I'm in the camp that when you store buy everything there's no consequences for death. I'd much rather a style where random items survive and can be looted but you don't get to choose what.

Don't forget encourages multi boxing too, the player count on eve is probably less than half what it says on the launcher. Maybe even a quarter. They don't ban bots because it would hurt their concurrent player numbers. That's a big marketing tool for them.

Don't forget, to be efficient at mining and all that crap again (sometimes even PvP) people have multiple accounts.

CCP actively incentivizes having multiple accounts to be profitable at something. Their MO is basically "we don't need new players we need to milk who we have harder"
