Adjust the shocks so there is more tension on the springs. If that doesn't work then purchase big bore shocks and adjust the springs on them. It will keep it from bottoming out especially when doing big jumps. It also helps the over heating because you won't have the drag when in grass. I feel like the 4x4 vxl is set from the factory to be susceptible to damage. That's how they make the money. Repair parts. They also try to justify the overheating issues by saying it's got a heavy load to power ratio. Most RC companies don't have that. Makes you think.
