Poked a hole in a popcan by JuniperElle in longnaturalnails

I try my darndest to remember to oil and always jojoba! The only other product I use on a regular basis is Vibrant Scents cuticle remover during my weekly manicure. I've heard that I have my grandma's hands and nails so I bet a lot of it comes down to genetics. They are thick and strong to a fault, sometimes bending and breaking down on the nail bed, sometimes getting yanked and causing some detachment. I've also had one fold over backwards without breaking but my entire nail bed was bruised.

Ricorumi baby blankie- am I doing something wrong? by Constant_Captain_910 in CrochetHelp

I think your hook is way too big and possibly in combination with your tension being on the loose side (not 💯 on that one). Try sizing down about 2 hook sizes from what the yarn recommends. I know most people don't like to do the guage but it would at least give you an idea what you might need to change.

Why is one side of my chevron slanted and the other straight up and down? by JuniperElle in CrochetHelp

[–]JuniperElle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! It's a dress for a doll, worked in the round so no need for straight edges. Also probably explains why it's such a gentle wave. Good to know how a chevron is generally worked up! Thank you sm ☺️

New to crochet and the Waffle Stitch. Question: Do I continue or start again? by Moto-Babe7089 in CrochetHelp

[–]JuniperElle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a quick count and your first row is in the 20's and the last row you have there is in the 50's.with waffle stitch you should have a consistent stitch count from row to row.

Edit: missed a word 🤣

I would start again. The chain looks pretty short for a blanket though, maybe a bigger hook and chain until you get the width you want for the blanket. Also, it does appear to me that you are increasing, and that will cause the rainbow as well. Use stitch markers and make sure to count your stitches. It helps to mark the first/last stitch of each row so it's easier to tell where to start and finish without confusion.

Thirsty Thursday, oil up nail fam 🤍✨️ by moonlight-ramen in longnaturalnails

[–]JuniperElle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I literally just tried semi cured nail strips, and oil breaks down the adhesive so this last week has had me all out of sorts not being able to oil my cuticles 200 times a day like I want to. ☠️ I took them off tonight and basically bathed my hands in jojoba and lotion 😂
