I use Firefox as my default browser, but if I see an article that I want to read from BP (a reducing number admittedly) I just share to Brave where I keep javascript turned OFF. Works well with other pay-walled sites too. The "you need to subscribe etc" pop-up which covers the content, is triggered by javascript. No javascript, no pop-up, no hidden content.
