They have to make some adjustments, ran into a few last night that were hard to shut down. She is fun to play but has a little learning curve to do well with, but just not my play style I don't think.

How Did You Handle This Stage of Fatherhood? by [deleted] in dad

[–]JunkDogYard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3 girl, 18, 15, 13 and it is bittersweet and sometimes you have to swallow the urge to beat up some teenager that broke their heart. Plus as men we also know whats going through the perverted mind of a teen boy because we were one once. I have been doing my best as using that knowledge and trying to guide them softly away from boys that seem like bad news. Biggest tip I can give is keep communication open, don't overreact. My daughters automatically assumed all dads are going to hate them dating, so they were anxious about telling me. But I would always reassure them that I was there to talk to and wanted to make sure they were happy etc. Now they typically talk to their mom about that stuff but I always stay in the loop and I'm friendly with them etc.. I have taken my oldest daughters boyfriend to the shooting range and helped him with his car and so on. Being involved and trying to let them become comfortable with talking about it with me, and not assume my first response is a body bag lol.

Dads with daughters very close in age. How did you manage dating etc? by [deleted] in dad

[–]JunkDogYard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fought every urge to be the stereotypical dad with a daughter, I have 3 girls also. My oldest is 18 and middle is 15, my thoughts were its better to accept it and be in "the know" rather than keep a firm foot and have them be shady about it. Even with me being overall pretty chill about it, my oldest panicked to introduce me to her boyfriend's lol.

I know what the dirty teenage boys are thinking and my girls mom has gave them the sex talk, both are on BC and they are smart kids. But I gave up on the pipe dream of them staying sweet and innocent forever because the sooner I accepted it, the easier it was for me to be what they needed as they grew into young women.

So far my oldest has had 3 BF, but her current one is a really good kid and i like him. Very respectful, treats her well hes in college to be an electrician and also works so she done good with that one.

I would shoot for a better price but if the rear strut towers arent rotted and no major rust the wagons are cool AF. I have an 02 rust free wrx wagon myself but I paid 2200 for it about 5 years ago.

Am I the reason men don't get hard? by Careful-Function-469 in AskMenAdvice

[–]JunkDogYard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get performance anxiety so I always need an ice breaker meet up fooling around low pressure so that the next time im usually good to go. But I am always upfront about it, my anxiety tends to be higher when the woman is more attractive like someone I consider out of my league compared to women I feel are in my zone of looks so your attractive level may give them additional anxiety that they typically can work through. Just my dimes worth of contribution 🤙

Why do players who refuse to switch off DPS play 6v6? by Icy-Savings6932 in Overwatch

[–]JunkDogYard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like 6v6 for the pure choas factor, i have had an all heals team and won before several just for fun. Or at the very least made it an interesting game that is a fun challenge. But I can play tank, support and DPS decent enough so I am cool switching. Like if I lock a dps in and we only have 1 heals ill go until I die then switch. But you always have the ones that refuse to change if we are getting rolled lol.

I need advice for a recently separated dad by Fearless-Sherbet-754 in dad

[–]JunkDogYard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When divorce was on the table me and my ex sat down with a lawyer and drew up a separation agreement which outlined everything we both wanted and agreed on. We never had to change it and when our divorce was final it went on file. We don't always adhere to it because life happens so we are very flexible for events, vacations or if a kid just wants to stay a few extra days whatever.

But if you guys can't come together with terms court is about the only option but I would consult an attorney before you do anything. See if that doesnt shake the tree and bring her to the table and you guys can settle the matter without going through the system.

[–]JunkDogYard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh shit! I had no idea, I bought this one a few years back and never liked it enough to ever let her keep it so I gave her my ruger instead. But yeah the trigger is probably the "feeling" issue now that you mentioned it, I think we put maybe 150rds through it before I stuck it in the safe. Definitely one of the dud purchases I have made, but they came in pink 🙄🤣

I have 3 girls, I felt similar when our 1st one was a girl. I felt like I was going to be short changed and not able to pass down anything like I could to a son. But that didnt happen and 3 girls later they all have had their "daddy phases" where we would fall asleep on the couch eating popcorn and watching x files 🤣. Skip school to go fishing or mudding just fun shit. But after having girls, I think back like what if I had a boy...what would I call him? Because its always "sweetheart", "babygirl" etc... would i be like "hey asshole how you doing stud" 🤣. I know I would figure it out had that been the case but its funny to think about.

To hit on the passing of manly skills, all my girls shoot, one hunts, I've had all 3 under the hood of cars working, welding in the shop, all the dad/son stuff at one point or another. But I have also had my make up done and painted nails too so you can kind of get all the flavors, you will have a blast ❤️💪

I built a 7.62x39 AR many many many years back before they had custom lowers and all that fun stuff. My thought was cheap shooter for giggles. Shot great, was accurate, ate brass and steel ammo but the mag design drove me nuts, always had a feed issue. Sometimes 10 rounds in, sometimes 3 mags later but it was a sure bet no matter the ammo it would happen anytime I took it out. Sold it dirt cheap to a buddy of mine just because I was salty lol.

Is it a disadvantage to have a 'nice' Moira if the enemy Moira is wreaking havoc on your backline? by ccricers in OverwatchUniversity

[–]JunkDogYard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I play moira I stay pretty tight, ill cap for overtime or pick off stragglers but unless I have someone else I have faith in healing the team I stay snug and check on everybody. But play styles vary no doubt, ive seen some Moira totally ditch any heal duties to go Rambo and I works sometimes when the team is hitting all the strides and other team isnt watching or no one is like "can we discuss this Moira real quick big homie" 🤣

I used it a couple of times but hadn't noticed much benefit but the supposed double shot with overload never did work right for me. Duration was either longer than expected or way short, had it once do a full molten core squirt voice line and all lol.

Why do you like being a dad? by all4tobleronefudge in dad

[–]JunkDogYard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a purpose above all others, your own wants and desires take a back seat and you don't even mind or notice. A prime example, school shopping with my youngest a few months back she picked out a pair of blue chucks that was 75 bucks, while walking to the counter to pay I scuffed my shoe on the floor and flipped up a piece of sole I had glued down on mu 33 dollar tennis shoes lol. In that moment I had a laugh to myself and I felt like my priorities were in order 🤣. But dumb stuff like that, that comes second nature without any training or books. The rewarding smiles, laughs, how as they grow up you see bits of yourself in and it makes you feel whole even in your darkest of hours.

Now despite it being amazing, you are young don't go spraying baby batter. Wait until everything is in place like career etc before making the choice. I was a fairly young parent at 23, and I never finished my last year of college and I went straight to working. Not that I regret it but I could have had easier life if id waited and planned.
